What if the murder 2 charge is an attempt to get the agitators to chill out?

A frightening thought. It sends the message that those in authority can be intimated into submission by organized quasi-terrorist groups within our borders.

This has been a missed opportunity to tell these punks to knock off the violent rhetoric & threats or go to jail IMO.

Just heard Mark Geragos say that the Murder 2 charge may be an attempt to get Zimmerman to plea bargain and avoid the whole thing. Otherwise Zimmerman faces a possible life term.

Speaking on NBC's "Today" show, Mark O'Mara, Zimmerman’s new lawyer, said his client is stressed and very tired and hoping to get bail.

"He wants to be out (of jail) to be able to help with his defense, but overall he is doing ok," O'Mara said.

If he gets bail, there's going be a whole lot of folks upset with that. He's safer in isolated custody.

Long shot here and just a random thought but here goes -

What if the murder 2 charge is an attempt to get the agitators to chill out? (The SP's attempt at her 15 minutes of fame notwithstanding.) Zimmerman goes to trial, (probably in two years or more) jury finds not enough for a murder 2 conviction, but he gets convicted of manslaughter and walks with time served?

Or, (less likely) he gets acquitted.

I came looking for this thread to share the very same suspicion.
I was sparked into this thought when I read in an article that the prosecutors were not swayed by public opinion. Yeah, right. There's no doubt in my mind that that was still a factor.
Calm the uproar for now and kick the can down the road...

Hopefully the FBI is closely watching these street law enforcers in the video.

The kind of fear they are causing fosters enrollment in groups like the KKK.


Cudos to the individuals who composed this video. This is not about race.
Its about a failure. A failure to respect, a failure to abide by the law, a failure to train

And a failure to fear the Ultimate Judge.


Perhaps this case will be done fairly and justice will prevail.

The deepest shame are all the individuals wanting to circumvent the Law, including some of the administrators of it.


From the bits I have read, Zimmerman likely faces manslaughter.
When you have a gun, you do not engage the situation until someone else starts shooting. Even then you can easily make mistakes.
Following the kid when told to break off by 911 was the first fail.

But then there is so much more to the story, and perhaps some we will never know.

Fact is several lives have beed ruined. Let's pray for them, for the only healing that will mean something is from Jesus.

And Wally, unfortunately, I think all the FBI is going to do is "look", I don't hold out much hope under the current Obama/Holder run DOJ that any charges will be brought against any of the "Afrocentrics" (as the young man in the video called them) committing hate speech toward whites and calling for blood to be spilled in the streets.

Just to be clear, the liberal media keeps repeating this but we don't know it happened this way.

The entire 9-11 tape is quite long. Fox played it this morning. After saying "OK" when advised not to follow Martin, Zimmerman stays on the line to give directions for where the police can meet him. He reports that he can't see the guy anymore.... "he ran".

The dispatcher asks Zimmerman for his home address but he replies in a low voice that he's hesitant to say it "out loud" in case the guy can hear it. Why would he say that unless he was worried Martin might be lying in wait for him nearby?

Today Trayvon Martin's mother said she believes things got out of control between them and her son's shooting was really an accident. I think she may be right.

I just read on Yahoo news page (sorry I don't know how to post the link - Mods delete this if this is not appropriate) that after making a statement on the Today Show that Zimmeran accidently shot her son, that it was a situation that escalated and got out of control, Trayvon's mom has now gone on MSNBC and retracted the statement and said her son was stalked by Zimmerman and killed in cold blood. This whole thing is such a mess.

Not only are people like Spike Lee and Roseanne Barr intentionally trying to hurt Zimmerman but now you have people like Mike Tyson wishing that Zimmerman were dead. It's sick. I've seen videos of the crowds of people holding up signs that say "Justice for Trayvon". What about Zimmerman? Justice isn't a one-way street. Zimmerman has a right to a fair trial (which I'm afraid will be anything but) yet people have already made up their minds that he's guilty. Granted, this case isn't like other high-profile cases because Zimmerman definitely shot Trayvon but all of the details still haven't been worked out (if they have they haven't been released). Even if Zimmerman is guilty it's no excuse for all of the vitriolic, hate-filled race-baiting that's being perpetrated by several celebrities and politicians.
