Default Hillary Clinton overrules Republican lawmaker's hold on Pali aid and Obama bypasses Congress too

    Why am I not surprised?

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is allowing U.S. funds to flow to the West Bank and Gaza despite a hold by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairwoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., a rare display of executive-branch authority that angered the key lawmaker concerned about protecting her congressional oversight role.

A State Department official saidthat a letter was delivered on Tuesday to key members of Congress informing them of Clinton's decision to move forward with the $147 million package of the fiscal year 2011 economic support funds for the Palestinian people, despite Ros-Lehtinen's hold. Administrations generally do not disburse funding over the objections of lawmakers on relevant committees.
The funds deliver "critical support to the Palestinian people and those leaders seeking to combat extremism within their society and build a more stable future. Without funding, our programs risk cancellation," the official, who was not authorized to speak about the issue, said in an e-mail. "Such an occurrence would undermine the progress that has been made in recent years in building Palestinian institutions and improving stability, security, and economic prospects, which benefits Israelis and Palestinians alike.”
"The U.S. has given $3 billion in aid to the Palestinians in the last five years alone, and what do we have to show for it?" Ros-Lehtinen said on Wednesday in a statement to National Journal. "Now the administration is sending even more. Where is the accountability for U.S. taxpayer dollars?"
Ros-Lehtinen earlier said she was disappointed that the administration "would employ hardball tactics against Congress and threaten to send, over congressional objection, U.S. taxpayer dollars to the Palestinian Authority."

How soon did this take place before the earthquake hit off the Oregon coast?

More aid and comfort for a people who would rather see the US destroyed. Lovely.

Someone want to explain how one appointed, unelected Secretary of State CONSTITUTIONALLY overrules 535 ELECTED Congressmen and women? I'm sick of saying this, but it's the truth - Obama needs to go, he needs to be FIRED, and he needs to take his appointees, czars, and other assorted unelected lunatics like Clinton and Holder with him.

I'd like that explained also. Truly.

Does anyone have the guts to present such a question these days anymore? I imagine since America in general stopped caring about the constitutional validity of Obama's right to be in office to begin with, I'm banking on the answer being 'no'.

Even if someone did broach the question there's a wall of American ignorance and apathy that isn't likely to break, especially if the media has any say in the matter: utter silence. The only way anybody would even know that it happened is if they looked it up online, maybe.

    So I'm not misunderstood:
I'm well aware of the fact that that's a losing battle, however true it might be. I hope you are too. It's not even beneficial to bring that up or to make that a point of contention in this coming election. That's a losing strategy.

We're not going to get the usurper kicked out by anything less then what might possibly be our last chance to vote the guy out. I get that.

You do make a very good and honest point though, and I agree with you.

I shouldn't admit this, but I have wished her broom would break in mid-flight.

As I recall at that time Birchers were the bad guys. I remember my brother had applied for Army OCS and because his wife (before they married) had attended a meeting of the John Birch society he was interviewed very extensively. He was, however, eventually accepted for OCS. Now, decades later, we learn that the Birchers were probably on the right track and our government was working even then to silence/marginalize/criminalize all dissenters. How naive (and young) I was. Now I'm older and try to recall conversations at home, etc., and all I can recall is when my mom and dad would hear this kind of stuff my dad would just look very disturbed and say "I don't know". He was a WWII and Korea veteran and a real patriot, but I wonder if he had suspicions even then.

Yes, they lost many friends and business associates, but many of these later said they (my parents and the JBS) were right on with the way the country was heading....They tried like mad to get us out of the UN, to no avail obviously. My home was ultra conservative to say the least. When my husband joined the Air Force in 1972 he had to sign a document with the JBS listed as a subversive organization and that he never was involved with them or other organizations like the SDS, Black Panthers etc, so the Birchers were in the same catagory as those
The State Department is a haven for lefties.

I just can't take it anymore. My anger is getting to the exhaustion point. I just want to cry! In our house we keep asking how can he keep bypassisng Congress? Why isn't someone in Congress doing something about him?! Back in '60 my parents and grandparents discussed how this would happen someday (during my generation's lifetime--I'm a Baby Boomer). Well, it's here! I am SO GRATEFUL God has graced me! I am also very grateful that my dear parents and grandparents didn't have to live to see this time in our nation's history. My dear Dad fought 6 campaigns with the Marine Corps in the South Pacific and raised us to honor God, family, and country! He lived to be 93! I am so very ready to go Home!
Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near Luke21:28

There are many who are content to wait until the elections for a chance at change, but for those of us driving behind the Obama Septic Tank Cleaning truck (honey dippers) the overspill is literally killing us back here, not to mention that we keep sliding off the road dodging "incoming projectiles." Don't Worry. Be Happy. :-)

I hear you, LB. We were watching O'Reilly and Hannity last night and my husband told me I needed to turn the channel before I had a stroke because I was so upset at how Obama and his evil administration just seem to be doing whatever they want and NOBODY seems to even be trying to stop them. Like you, my dad served his country in the Navy during Korea and Vietnam and I was also raised to honor God, family, and country - something kids nowdays have no idea about. However, we can both take comfort in the fact that Israel is the apple of God's eye and He will protect them no matter how much money Obama gives to God's enemies to do harm to Israel. Seriously, I would not want to be in Obama's shoes when he has to stand before God - I bet that's one day when we won't be seeing that smug smirk on his face.

Well, as Allen West said that we have communists (totalitarians) in our government. They fly their flag openly now. I expect them to keep doing it because it's who they really are.

They will probably go ballistic with it because they'll want to get in as much as they can before they possibly lose the election.

    Default Not naive anymore

The conceal and delay tactics that the communists and socialists and progressives used in the 60's-90's are OVER. We know who they are now and they have to go. I, too, was fooled by their methods back then being younger...not anymore. I don't pray for wisdom and guidance to our so-called 'leaders' anymore. I am praying for their removal and for Godly people to replace them.

Unfortunately, too many are still mesmerized by the "Great Pretender" to see the facts that many saw before the '08 elections. The Bible says that in the last days people will be duped, and the evidence for such is humongous.

I used to wonder how the anti-Christ could deceive the masses enough to get the following he is to have, but after seeing the "Great Pretender" woo his gullible minions I can see the possibility.

I have no hope for this nation save for an intervention by Him -purely from a mercy standpoint, nothing merited.
