The Israeli government has issued an official “welcome” letter to the pro-‘Palestinian’ “flytilla” activists.

The Israeli government has issued an official “welcome” letter to the pro-‘Palestinian’ “flytilla” activists who plan on arriving in the country on Saturday and Sunday.

“Dear Activists,

We appreciate your choosing to make Israel the object of you humanitarian concerns,” the letter begins. “We know there were many other worthy choices.”

“You could have chosen to protest the Syrian regime’s daily savagery against its own people, which have claimed thousands of lives. You could have chosen to protest the Iranian regime’s brutal crackdown on dissent and support of terrorism throughout the world. You could have chosen to protest Hamas rule in Gaza, where terror organizations commit a double war crime by firing rockets at civilians and hiding behind civilians,” the letter says.

“But instead you chose to protest against Israel, the Middle East’s sole democracy, where woman are equal, the press criticizes the government, human rights organizations can operate freely, religious freedom is protected for all and minorities do not live in fear.”

“Therefore we suggest to let you solve first the real problems of the region, and then come back and share with us your experience. Have a nice flight,” the letter concludes.

Well, then, can you say, "Spin"? Can you say, "Bias"? Can you say, "Selective editing"? Don't think I've ever seen a finer piece of well-balanced reporting....... *sarcasm* *heavy sigh* It is amazing how supposedly intelligent people can be so deceived and can espouse such drivel.

Israel's letter did a wonderful job of pointing out the ridiculousness of this protest and CNN didn't even print the whole letter, let alone write a balanced story. argh

One thing I have to remind myself when I read about the activities of OWS-ers, eco-nuts, etc. is that young people all want to have a purpose in life. They want to know that what they do matters, that they matter. It's inate in all of us; it's part of our desire to be close to God. However, these young people have grown up being told that God is a myth, that they are merely worm-food when they die. They have no God who loves them, so their only way to matter is to join PETA, or OWS, or the Communist Party, or Moveon . . .

They think they are being brave and heroic and altruistic, but unfortunately, they are merely dupes.
