Rubio seems to be the likely winner of the Veepstakes from where I sit and here is why I think so.

This election is going to be dirty and indeed already is filthy, slimey, corrupt and makes me vomit at the thought of where the "land of the free" is spiritually and morally. I've never seen Americans sell out to a candidate on the level I have seen for Barack Hussein Obama. His administration has been a disaster every step of the way. For those of us who did not drink the kool aid or follow the pide piper tune of pie in the sky socialism and rampant narcissistic megalomania that is Barack Obama we see that all too clear.

Despite the failures in leadership in dealing with oil spills, fanning racial tension, passing pipe dream healthcare that will enslave the citizens, bowing to foreign communist dictators, empowering extreme Islamism in the Mid East, Nationalizing banks and auto companies and fundamentally transforming America in too numerous ways to list here, those who voted for him in 2008 are mostly the kind of people that sell out and do not cross the aisle to vote for someone who wants to take us in a different direction.

Those who may wake up from the sleeping potion this poisonous viper injects, their vote is absolutely crucial, along with anyone who sat out and would not vote in 2008 and allowed this socialist serpent to slither in the door. Therefore, when you look at an electoral map, you can quickly conclude, Romney must win Florida. I believe he is a dead man (politically speaking) without it. Marco Rubio at his side may give him the best chance at taking Florida and even then, I think it may be by the slimmest of the margins and I can even foresee a hotly contested recount as we saw in the bitter battle between Gore and Bush.

I'm not crazy about Mittens but my disdain and disgust for overconfident snakes trumps my reservations for Massachusetts Mitt. Romney/Rubio may not be a complete change of course from Obama, but it may just be a start to turn the wheels and point the car in another direction. I'll take it.

Marco Rubio was born in Miami, FL making him a U.S. citizen by birth. If Obama qualifies as a natural born citizen, then certainly Sen. Rubio does because at least he has absolute, undisputed documented proof he was born here. Back to topic, I'd love to see Sen. Rubio or Congressman Allen West in the VP position. Gov. Christie, while it might be amusing to see him tell Obama and Biden what he (and many of us) really thinks of them, is too liberal for me. I believe Sen. Rubio or Congressman West could hold their own going up against Obama and, in particular, Gaffe-a-minute Joe.

Any chance of me holding my nose and voting for Romney will be gone if he picks one of these 2 guys. Good guys, but they aren't eligible. I heard Joseph Farah say on Hannity that whomever chose Rubio would lose 10% of the vote, I'd bet it even being larger than that.

    Question Imho~~~

If the Lord doesn't come to take me home before the election (which is a definite possiblity), I WILL vote for anyone but BHO... That said, I felt defeated to see Romney outlast everyone else. I don't know how many times I've warned, that you won't find a "conservative" coming from the state of Massachusetts. I lived there for thirty years and know the mentality! Land of the Kennedys, Tip O'Neal, Barnie Frank and yes, the suppossed "pick of the tea party", Scott Brown.

I believe Romney was promised by the "Repub. establishment" that this time around would be his turn.

As with all politicians, he has an ego larger than his bankroll. I don't believe he will choose someone that will "upstage" him as Palin did McCain. He will choose someone that will draw votes but beyond that , will sit down and shut up.

From this point on its all about "drawing votes". I read that he had already chosen a homosexual to be his spokeperson; he will look to the south or west for his VP ~~ (perhaps Utah???).

He is soft on immigration laws, and will offer some type of amnesty/dream act if elected. He is supposedly for "traditional marriage", but that could change (he's been known to waffle).

As you can tell, I'm not thrilled with the Repub. choice, but its better than the direction we are currently headed!!

If I had my choice it would be an Alan West/Sarah Palin ticket. I don't care which one gets "top billing".

Obviously, I DON'T have my choice. Which makes me so glad that I "have citizenship elsewhere", I'm holding tight to my "passport", just waiting for the call "Come Up Here"!!!!
"But those who wait upon the Lord, shall have their strength renewed,
They shall mount up, as on the wings of eagles,
They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint"!!! Isa. 40:31

    I"M WAITING!!
    MARANATHA,
    GOD BLESS, Dan
1Co 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed!

Joseph Farah isn't the most reliable person to listen to for political foresight. Rubio is eligible if Obama is president. Obama being in the Oval Office makes this a non-issue. Obama's father wasn't even seeking citizenship like Rubio's parents were.

Christie makes a good spokesperson/attack dog in certain places, but should not be on the ticket. As much as I've enjoyed how he's taken on the unions in NJ, he's liberal in many ways, and his persona might not go over well in other parts of the country. He is good for NJ.

Rubio gives speeches that sound like Ronald Reagan. He has a great personal story and he's likable.

Allen West got into some controversy over the "80 members of Congress are Communists" kerfuffle. I wondered at the time if that were all brought up in order to push him out of the running for VP.

Problem with both Rubio and West is that they're both pretty new. It seems like the best guys are pretty new. Jindal as well.

Paul Ryan is awesome, but actually is doing a better service to our country where he is than as VP. He also has young kids and doesn't want to subject them to the stuff that goes on in these races.

Are there any other women besides Condi Rice?

I think its likely we won't see Joe on the ticket. Just a guess.....could be wrong....

I think either Alan West or Rick Santorum would make an excellent VP. And Newt Gingrich would make a terrific Secretary of State. His knowledge of foreign matter is immense.

I'm voting for Romney no matter what. 4 more years of the evil one will ruin us in short order. I know that people may feel that Romney won't folllow through on things the way we think he should, but I think we'll at least get some years of respite from this terrible decline, at least to some degree.

I want to preserve what we have for as long as we can. No one has room to be choosy here. We must get Obama removed from office.

I wouldn't vote for an anchor baby. We have massive problems as a result of that issue. Voting for an anchor baby, IMO, endorses the problem "See, you can break their laws, steal citizenship for your child, and your kid could be president!"

I have illegals on both sides of me, both of whom have anchor baby children to remain in the country and receive benefits. Thumbs DOWN.

I wasn't voting Republican before, but if they nominate this guy for VP I'll just continue voting independent.

Thank God I AM a registered "independent".

Okay, everyone, this is what my DH and I started working on about a year ago. "Should" the Republican win the WH in November, this is the start of our list......
(and, of course, it's still very much a work-in-progress)

    President: (Appears to be....) Romney
VP: Paul Ryan or Marco Rubio
Secretary of State: Jon Bolton (former UN Ambassador who is VERY knowledgeable!)
    Secretary of Defense: ALLEN WEST!!!
    Secretary of Interior: (any suggestions??)
    Secretary of Treasury: Michelle Bachmann?????
    Secretary of Commerce: Herman Cain!!!!!
    Secretary of Transportation: ????
Secretary of Agriculture: Congressman Steve King (Iowa)
Secretary of Education: Newt Gingrich (???)
    Secretary of Labor: Walter Williams
Secretary of Health and Human Services: ???
    Secretary of Energy: Sarah Palin
Veteran's Affairs: Col. Ollie North (??)
    Housing and Urban Development:
    Homeland Security: SHERIFF JOE ARPAGIO!!!

    And, guess what?? .................

    There will be.... NO CZARS!!!!!

Sorry to semi-derail this thread. I know it's about the VP, but I just couldn't resist!
Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near Luke21:28

Oooops.... forgot about the Attorney General..... My dream pick would be MARK LEVIN (radio talk show host and former assistant in the REAGAN administration, by the way)...he's a Constitutional Attorney and true expert. Sean Hannity (and others) call him "The Great One." (Of course, we all know who the TRUE Great One is!!!)

Marco Rubio is not an anchor baby. Cubans are treated differently than Mexicans, Guatemalans, etc due to Castro's communist grip on the country and its close proximity to our nation. His parents would have become citizens without Marco Rubio ever being born, they just had to be in the country for a certain number of years first. This is now commonly known as Wet Foot Dry Foot, but when Rubio was born it was known as The Cuban Refugee Adjustment Act.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuban_Adjustment_Act

This is the major difference between him and Obama, Rubio's parents were in the process of becoming citizens while Obama's father had no intention of ever becoming a US citizen.

Rubio only if the legal issues are settled before he is picked. Paul Ryan needs to stay were he is, where Budgets are made.

Secretary of State: Jon Bolton (former UN Ambassador who is VERY knowledgeable!)
Awesome choice! He is extremely competent and will 'tweak' just the right people.

    Secretary of Defense: ALLEN WEST!!!

Secretary of Interior: Sarah Palin. She already had to deal with most of these issues as Governor

    Secretary of Treasury: Walter Williams
He is an expert Economist, and knows that Keynes was mostly wrong. He could also take up the slack when the Federal Reserve system is dismantled

    Secretary of Commerce: Herman Cain!!!!!

Secretary of Transportation: Sully. The pilot who emergency landed his plane on the Hudson.

Secretary of Agriculture: Congressman Steve King (Iowa)
As long as he understands that Ethanol subsidies are part of the problem and not part of the solution.

Secretary of Education: Newt Gingrich (???)

Secretary of Labor: E. Clay Shaw, Jr. He was the one who wrote the 'Welfare reform act' in the congress that Newt was Speaker of.

Secretary of Health and Human Services: Michelle Bachmann.
She has a heart for Orphans

Secretary of Energy: Needs a Scientist. Preferably a Physicist.

Veteran's Affairs: Col. Ollie North (??)

Housing and Urban Development: Donald Trump?

    Homeland Security: SHERIFF JOE ARPAGIO!!!
    Ted Nugent?

I hear Obama is skipping over Biden and selecting Hillary as his new V.P. to regain the lost women votes and the hard core progressives.

He needs to shake it up, he is goin down otherwise. Bidens 'gaffs' at this point seem staged.
