I would not use Jack Van Impe as a credible source, he's known to be wrong on many occasions. I also do not agree that Germany is Gomer, most scholars place Gomer as Turkey.

Acually i got that map from here, Chris posted it years ago. I too, don't believe that Germany is Gomer, though Hal Lindsey does. But reread my post, it was about Britain, not Gomer. I believe that Britain is Tarshish. Britain belongs to the commonweath group. A group of former British colonies. They need the EU less than most of the European nations. They have resisted a lot of attempts at becoming a state in a super-Europe.

I tend to agree with Joel mostly on this. These are the exceptions.:

Cush - I believe has more nations from non-Arab Africa.
Put - May include all 5 Arab nations west of Eqypt. In the 90's the 5 had an economic trading block. I don't know if it still exists though?
The seeds of my thoughts on Put and Cush come from Hal Lindsey.

Gomer - Turkey. I could be wrong on this, as several teachers consider Germany a possibility. But i just don't see Germany joining an islamic invasion of Israel. But then, i didn't see Berlin wall coming down either (before the ac arrives). I didn't see the fall of the Soviet Union coming before the tribulation. Along with other world changing events that have happened since i've been watching.

I discount much of the map i posted. I believe that Tarshish is Britain. And i find it an interesting theory that Magog may be Kazakstan.

Good find. Good find! I posted about this a couple of weeks ago here. But this is a new write up and a very interesting one too.

Folks, imo this could very possibly and plausibly, and very likely, be the actual office of the end-times anti-christ being discussed and created right here before our very eyes! This, at a time when new economic data coming out of Europe, in particular the Eurozone, showing accelerating deteriorating economic conditions in those countries. The Eurozone sovereign debt crisis - one of the key drivers behind the move toward a super EU President.

Let's examine the article a little more thoroughly, and I do acknowledge this is from the perspective of the UK...





Secretive, covert group of EU ministers. A European emperor that could only be aspired to by Napoleon Bonaparte. Holy Roman Empire of Charlemagne that dominated Europe in the Dark Ages.





The only question mark here that I can see is that this office would be bureaucratic, meaning an office not directly elected by the people. Not sure if the anti-christ will himself will assume the office via a vote among ministers and then consolidate power via popular elections? I think this was the route Hitler traveled to gain the power he did over Germany. His popularity and mandate only grew with his fierce nationalistic vision on the back of Germany's depressed economic conditions at the time, a lot like what we are beginning to see in parts of Europe now. Time will tell of course, but this is fascinating news and worth noting and watching.

Today German pupils are often a minority in some schools. A young woman told me recently that she attended school in Frankfurt for some years. She and another pupil were the only Germans between Turks and Arabs in the class.

Most of the young male followers of the most peaceful religion here are unemployed, uneducated, brutal and aggressive. An explosive mixture. They are a high-risk group for us. *-O(:~{>
