Why does my computere keep redirecting?

I have McAffee, it automatically scans. I've run three full unscheduled scans today. I went in thru the control panel and deleted all cookies and STILL ever since last night -whenever I "search" something thru Bing AND i just tried it through Google and the same thing happens! I get "redirected" that's the word that comes up- and go to some stupid ad page....I don't have time for this! It's the last week of school! Does anyone know what can do???

I thought I was going to have to buy a new computer! It scanned for over two hours and now it's working fine.
