hubby watches Friday Night Fights. i don't really get into it , though i don't mind it (as long as it does not interfere with my baseball games )

its on tonight so if i can get hubby to drop me some names to give you, i'll be back and pass the info.

i think he seems to enjoy the middleweights the most though the bantams and featherweights can be quite spectacular. i can even appreciate it.

many of the really good fights are PPV and we don't buy them, or at least we never have. Hubby just gets his news about the fight later.

perfect you are a newbie in one of the most exciting yet most violent sport in the planet, the sport of the "sweet science". since you are new to the sport, i rather recommend you to watch fighters like manny pacquiao, floyd mayweather jr, canelo alvarez, juan manuel marquez and etc. on youtube please watch old fights such as ali vs frazier, the career of mike tyson, and the likes of the fabolous four such as marvin hagler, thomas hearns, ray leonard and roberto duran. these fighters are more than what should classic be defined.

You should look out for all boxers. While they are generally likely to be gentlemen (or ladies, I might add), it's still a good practice to be alert. Boxers can pack a real wallop, no matter if they are lightweights or not.

(ok, sorry, but I just had to get that off my chest )

The only boxing I watch is where the fighters wear ice skates, carry sticks, and take OFF the gloves to fight.

In the next 4 years this is the only "change" I'm looking forward to...

I try to keep my encounters with boxers brief.

The heavyweight division is pretty poor right now (though there is an American fighter named Seth Mitchell coming through and also Britain's David Pryce) with the two champions easily dominating in mainly boring fights. From lower weights, watch fighters like Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather, Andre Ward, Sergio Martinez, Adrian Broner, Carl Froch, Amir Khan, and Guillermo Rigondeux. As someone else noted, you can see many old fights on youtube. If you want to read more about past great fighters, see http://coxscorner.tripod.com/divisional_ratings.html
