‘Barcode everyone at birth’: Opinion

I'm reading a book right now (Christian fiction about end times), and the world governments are in the developmental stages of creating a bio ID tag for everyone, which is described as an invisible tattoo (barcode) that will be instituted worldwide under the premise that "we" would be safer from terrorists, as they would be identified and stopped at the border. This invisible tattoo can only be detected by special infrared devices and monitors. Expanding this further, missing persons (especially children) would be found quickly, there would be no need to carry ID, and individuals with certain health risks would be easily detained and segregated, and the risk of plague-like illnesses could be quickly contained.

I think of how easy this would be to convince people of its necessity. A few terrorist attacks in malls or theme parks in different parts of the world (notably the US), the threat of a deadly pandemic crossing the world via air-travel, and heavily dramatic and emotional public service announcements about being a "responsible citizen doing your part for a safer world" and you would have normally cautious and skeptical people lining up to register for the "protection of their family". Not the MOB, but definitely all the technology already in place for the MOB system to be very quickly up and running after our Departure. Further expanding (because I have a very active imagination ), perhaps one would first have to register, so there would be a worldwide database of people/families registered to get their bio IDs. This could definitely all happen before the Rapture, and would make the MOB system that much easier to install. It would also red-flag persons, not presumed to be part of the "mass disappearance" and identify detractors.
How conveeeeeenient.

With regard to the plot in the book series, I am predicting that the Rapture will occur before this bio-tag is instituted. With the physical mark going hand in hand (or should I say hand in forehead ) with the knowing rejection of Christ and worship of the beast, I personally believe that there will be no biometric worldwide ID until we are gone. I just think that too many Christians connect the two and it would be extremely hard to get large segments of the population to get "chipped" or "tattooed" for the common good. After a "strong delusion" sets in, it will be easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy. .

all of these look like precursors to it, but my question is: will the MOTB come AFTER the rapture?
Is there a chance the MOTB will be implemented and WE face the choice of accepting it or not? and if we are, will we KNOW if it is the MOTB???

Do not be afraid.God is in control and He knows what He is doing.He loves us and does not want anything bad to happen.

Scripture clearly teaches that we will be raptured before the Antichrist is revealed (see 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4). People can't take the Mark of the Beast until after the rapture, because the Antichrist will not have been revealed. The 2 Thessalonians passage also says that the Antichrist (whom I believe is indwelled by Satan at this point) will exalt himself and proclaim himself as god (small 'g' is deliberate). Satan's goal is to be worshipped as God. The M.O.B. will be more than a license to buy and sell, it will be a declaration of allegience to Satan himself. As true believers in Christ, we are already sealed and indwelled by the Holy Spirit. In a very real sense, we are already 'marked' as belonging to God. We can't be marked as both God's and Satan's, and God assures us that no one can snatch us from His hand.
Technology itself is neutral, but man always seems to find ways to pervert it. I don't fret about born-again Christians being fooled into accepting the M.O.B. however. God is not going to let His children be tricked by Satan.

Yes they will know it is the mark IMO. There will even be an angel warning the people not to take the mark. -Revelation 14:9-11

Being given the Mark is tied to Beast worship. The Mark will be visible, obvious, and there will be no doubt to whom the marked will owe their allegiance.
