Where is the customer service we use to give? We use to make good tips bagging and hauling groceries out to cars.
I just thought it was part of the job duties that a clerk/bagger had to do that included bringing in the buggies.

I remember being with my Mom and Grandma when I was really little at the grocery store. My Mom would drive up to the curve and the person who bagged teh groceries would bring out the groceries and load them in the vehicle. At the two Krogers that I shop they both ask if you (the shopper) needs help getting the groceries to the car. They do help some people.

**You got tips?!!? The only tip I got was when I changed a flat tire for a lady.
I do not like the self checks outs at any store! They drive me crazy and I 'argue' with them! LOL

I read somewhere that the 'life' of one is about ten years.

I didn't get to participatein the poll, but about 9/10 times, I Do return my buggy (Sorry, I can't get used to saying 'cart' because it just sounds weird to me.) to either the store or rack. Many times if I park near a stray buggy, I will use that one for myself.

You don't actually have to pay for it. You put the quarter in the cart (or Euro in the EU) and it releases the cart to you. When you bring it back you get your quarter/euro back. It is the incentive to bring the cart back.

That is still just odd...at least you get your quarter back. Sounds like a parking meter to me.

Always, and try to remove 'left behinds' as well. I don't like to see strays in the parking lot bc they take up parking spaces, and can go racing in the wind we have here. I always hope that when someone sees me do it, they will follow suit...

I have actually had to move carts so I can park in a parking space.
