Hello and thank you for allowing me to join, my name is Benjamin and I am currently living in Connecticut but will soon be moving to Virginia to start my new job. (Praise God.) I got saved about one year ago in my senior year of college. I have always considered myself a Christian and never really resented being called one or being associated as one, went to church all my young life with my family, Methodist churches mostly, never once was asked if I was saved or whether or not I knew my eternal destiny. But praise God that he is patience and suffers long for us and my family whether knowingly or unknowing planted a seed in me that God mercifully grew.
In college I fell deeper and deeper into depravity, culminating with my senior year were my mind was at that point in a young persons life where one starts to look for answers. I always considered myself a christian but I started getting into conspiracies (Which I still love to study.) but I was looking into the wrong people, they kept pointing to the new age (All of them.) Once again thank God I was guided to some Christian commentators like Jim Wilhelmsen and Chuck Missler. God worked with me through those two and my entire world was flipped. I saw the error of my ways, but I still wasn't saved yet, thankfully some of my best friends at my school were members of the Campus Crusades for Christ Club. At about the same time God was straining me out on my conspiracies study hobby, I was invited to attend their spring retreat. So I went and God once again dealt with me and my sin. I want to say it wasn't until later after school had ended, I started listening to Ravi Zacharias and finally Reg Kelly of Liberty Faith Church in Norwood Missouri did I finally get saved.
Well that is basically how I got saved, but I do have more testimony to share, I dated a Jewish Girl my entire college career. Thank the Lord she didn't leave me when I told her I was saved, thank the Lord she is now saved herself and we're engaged! I love the Jewish people and the nation of Israel, I believe the Bible says what it means and means what it says, I believe I am purchased by the Blood of Christ by His Grace alone and that no religious action can alter that, I would consider myself a dispensationalist and I firmly believe the Church and Israel are separate and God isn't done with either.
