We watch Mike Hoggard also, and enjoy his teachings. He is in Festus, Mo in a Baptist church.

Because the subject matter of the videos deals with apostasy?

Just a guess as I've not seen them yet.

As much of the videos as I've seen thus far indicate they would be better placed in MC&R's.

    Hi Bruce,

Just watched the first video now - absolutely fantastic stuff ! Very shocking and sickening to discover what the "Mary" of the RCC truly is. My mum and uncle are completely indoctrinated and brainwashed in all this stuff and I'm going to tell them about these videos - this Hoggard guy is obviously quite a powerful preacher and I like his manner and the way he explains things. I will watch the second video later.

Just one issue I have though - I don't think the Catholic Church actually tells people not the read the Bible. I think there are programmes on EWTN (RCC TV network) which encourage some sort of Bible study (my family glue themselves to this channel). However, what they do believe is that everything in Scripture (or at least their version of it) is to be studied under its lens and basically you shouldn't come to your own conculsions.

Mike Hoggard is great, the Lord works through that man. But you ought to check out the man who influenced Brother Hoggard and myself, he is like the godfather of pastors, Pastor Reg Kelly. The Lord Jesus Christ saved me while listening to Brother Regy's sermons and I have yet to find a pastor more unapologetically fundamentalist than this man. About two weeks ago Brother Regy was invited by Brother Hoggard to preach revival at his church!
"1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision."
    [Psalm 2:1-4]

We have a couple attending our Bible study that still attend Catholic services on Sunday. Apparently, they are encouraged to read the Bible and even have small-group Bible studies during the week. However, I'm not sure which "Bible" they're using, and the husband constantly complains that the Priest's messages have almost no Scriptural content and are leading the way to the Great Apostasy. They still go, as much for their friends there as they do for anything, and we keep praying that the Lord will lead them out.

I watched that first video...wow...good stuff. I still think Nick Fairley's coverage of the RCC in the "Know Your Enemy" (aka The Fuel Project) series on YouTube is the best. Out-and-out worship of the female goddess Asherah under the guise of Mary. Along with Islam, the RCC is one of Satan's greatest success stories.

The main version my mum and uncle use is the RSV-CE (Revised Standard Version - Catholic Edition) - I think this could be a popular one. Of course there are Catholic doctrines, such as purgatory and praying to/for the dead that are completely dependent on those seven "inspired" books that Protestants "leave out" of their Bibles. Us poor non-Catholics are missing out with our KJV's you know - we only have a truncated, incomplete 66-book Bible to work with

    Default almost.....

I liked most of what he said but he makes a mistake in stating the rc doctrine of the Eucharistic sacrifice. What thr CCC says is that they re-present the same sacrifice as Calvary. It is still wrong and twisted but it is important to be accurate when presenting doctrinal points of contention.

Mr. Hoggard will not get much traction with an experienced rc apologist if he uses St. Goofenheimer's Polish parish as an example. All they will do is pass him off as ignorant and then default to Rome's authority to have the final word instead of a single parish.
