King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
1 Corinthians 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
The body is the seed?
(King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
1 Thessalonians 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
The spirit is not sown but returns back to God who gave it
King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
Ecclesiastes 12:7Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
I do wonder what the purpose in planting the old body in order to get the new one from the dead one that has been sown.We are created in God's image.
Genesis 1:26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
So does this mean God is only Spirit
John 4:24 >>God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
I think that I understand this as while we are here in this flesh we are to walk in faith because with our natural minds and natural eyes we can neither see nor understand the things of God because
1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
This must be why Jesus said:
John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
But I still believe we were made in God's image and He became flesh and Jesus is the first fruit and has been raised incorruptible.
Acts 1:3 After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 15:52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
So I believe God has a body that is raised from the dead (Jesus) but I don't understand why our new body must come from the body we now have, the body that is flesh and then dies![]()

Yet we usually cannot take the analogies too far, they are only analogies.
