Default St. Louis Missouri area church says: You Are A Princess And This is Your Moment

You Are A Princess And This is Your Moment???

Here's a summary video of Princess Nicole Crank's women's conference for the women of Faith Church of St. Louis

Think of it like a spiritual pedicure with a heavy dose of narcissistic eisegesis.

Grab your tiara and your sword and come learn about how great you are!

After all, Jesus' death on the cross shows that 'you're worth it!'

One of my favorite verses right now is 1 Peter 3:4 "Let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious."

I don't think I could handle that women's conference. But then again, I'm not much on motivational speakers. Too much it's-all-about-you. My daughter is 4. The other day someone asked her if she was the princess of the house (she has two older brothers). She'd said, "I'm a princess because Jesus is the king." (the rest being "and I belong to Him.")

Sure, God created us for this moment -- to honor Him and point people to Him....not prance around in a fancy dress because "it's our time".

Our pastor is preaching through 1st Timothy and hit the section on women (followed by the men the next Sunday). He said he'd probably offend some ladies, but he was teaching what the Bible taught.
and to wait for his Son from heaven,
whom he raised from the dead—Jesus,
who rescues us from the coming wrath

That is great!!! Not enough churches speak on that!

I fully believe that a woman can get dressed up and look good, but as I watched this video, this verse immediately came into my head:

    1 Timothy 2:9-10 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

I think it was the pastors earrings that really got to me.

My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; the fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

    Baruch haba b'Shem Adonai!

Default I am not sure who I dislike looking at the most

Olsteen or Obama, so the Olsteen video I bypassed- quickly.

The woman?????Certainly not dressed modestly, but what was that all about the "who wore what and donated what"?

    A- they are just people.
B- the donations are just 'things'
C- I have no idea, nor interest, in whatever it was about.

Let your giving be in secret is what the Lord said- no need to broadcast............
