I heard a Christian friend of mine at work today laughing/scoffing about people even taking the end of the world seriously. I know that she's been pulled off the path in her life and distracted by all the "sparklies" and "shinies" (as I call them) that Satan and his cohort toss our way, but I had no idea that she had been pulled so far off-course. I was very saddened at this; how easily are some distracted from the Lord, often because they have never been fed the Word!
In any case, my point is: I'm not surprised to see these kinds of articles, and I shouldn't be surprised when a fellow believer buys these philosophies, but I still found myself speechless today.

That article is more suitable for the fiction/humor section of Barnes & Nobles. I don't care what anyone tries to convince me of, "evolution" is not a science; it is a religion. These people hate the idea of being accountable to a righteous Creator so much, they literally invent concepts to fog the "ignorant masses." Try to publish an article about creation at a secular university, FIRED!
These scientists can't even explain the most basic things. You can't get DNA without protein, but you can't get protein without DNA. So which came first? You gonna tell me it all evolved from rocks and microscopic organisms? If we all evolved from monkeys, then why are there still monkeys? What a joke. You know what you get when you leave a petri dish full of bacteria alone for a billion years? A one billion year old dish full of bacteria. That's it. Nothing else, end of story. Don't even try to think rationally in regards to articles like this, or else you are one of those "Jesus Freaks." I guess I'm a freak then.

So good to know that it's only the galaxies colliding that we need worry about and all this other stuff can just be swept under the rug. By the way, that was a real nice illustration in the video. Someone better notify Al Gore that NASA is theorizing about a type of global warming that is not man made. You would think that they would know better than that.When the collision is in full swing in 4 billion years, he said the sun will still have another 2 billion years before its expected death. However, by that time it will have grown so large and so hot that Earth might no longer be habitable without super-engineering techniques, he said.
To be fair to NASA, they do their best. What people need to realize is that NASA's best is always tied to the lowest bidder. I see end times prophecies coming true at an increasing rate, and I can say that the ignorance shown in this article is not bliss, but rather, pure foolishness.

Galaxies are mostly empty space. Some objects within them would collide, but the vast majority would only experience some gravitational effects.

Galaxies collide very often, although they take millions of years to do so. In fact now scientists believe that collisions and merges between multiple galaxies make up some of the main elements causing evolution as time passes.
One lie after another, and so many people willing to accept the lies rather than consider the Truth. It would be laughable if there weren't so many souls at stake.

Technically evolution claims humans and monkeys evolved from a "common ancestor." But it is a logically valid question.
Natural selection cannot select both the less-adapted form and the new improved form. Only one can be selected. (If both are "selected," then no selection has taken place.) If natural selection favors the higher form, it should leave more offspring. That means that the lower form should leave fewer offspring, and will eventually die out.
Therefore, if all organisms are continually evolving upward, shouldn't all lower forms eventually die out? Shouldn't all organisms except the most advanced have become extinct by now? Should not the world be populated only by mammals? Darwin too asked, why do so many of the lower forms still exist, and why have not the higher forms taken over everywhere?
If earlier forms were inferior, they should have died out when new, better adapted forms evolved. If earlier forms were not inferior, then why did natural selection select new life forms? New forms could not be better if the old forms were not inferior.
Why didn't invertebrates begin dying out when vertebrates evolved? or fish when amphibians evolved? or amphibians when reptiles evolved? or reptiles when mammals evolved? Instead, invertebrates continue to flourish, even though they are less adapted than the vertebrates that evolved from them. Fish are flourishing also, even though the reptiles that evolved from them are better adapted for life. Reptiles are doing quite well today too, living among the mammals who evolved because they are better adapted for life than the reptiles.
