    Wabbit season!

Actually, I like something about all of them. Summer is my all time favorite if I had to pick one.

    Can't choose.

Summer because I am warm and can swim in the pool. Granted, we were in the pool this year as early as late March, early April thanks to the warm temps and solar heated pool. Frozen yogurt, fresh veggies, fruit. Cooking is much simpler in the summer: almost everything is grilled meat and salad. Chirping birds, dragonflies. Also, generally less laundry because sundresses, shorts and t-shirts take up much less room than sweaters and jeans.

Fall because of the pretty leaves, crisp air, and a return to those sweaters and jeans (see the contradictions here?), boots to keep my legs warm. Hot chocolate, baked goods, stew in a slow-cooker. Because I'm back in Texas, fall goes from about December through till the end of February. Winter is usually the one day that it freezes and we have an "ice storm".

Spring and "late spring" (late spring is October and November in Texas) are transitional months with lots of rain, mild temps and bridge the gap between seasons summer and fall. Of course I like the blooming trees, too.

I sometimes miss gentle snowfall that I've experienced in Germany and on the East Coast. I do not particularly miss the snow event we had in Maryland in 2010. I *do* remember the guy at the commissary buying like one item and saying "it won't snow much; it's never done that here" and then hoped he was okay when the base was "closed" for several days. We did get free flight upgrades out of it. Our Valentine's Day trip to London was delayed a day because of flight cancellations, and when the British Airways guy called, my husband was kind and understanding and jokingly asked for a free upgrade (we have no status with the airline and didn't actually expect one). The guy gave us one. Seriously, people, it so pays to be nice when you know customer service reps are stressed. You never know how they might thank you. (You should be nice anyway, but you know what I mean).

    Default Any season except summer!

Summers in mid Georgia are just 'off the chart' for too many of the last years. I feel like I am trapped inside from early June til mid September! Hubby's old car has no air!

It used to be summer when I was in elementary and junior high...no school for 2 months . As I got ahem..older my favorite season now is fall. I don't tolerate heat very well. The temps in Va Beach are generally mild in the fall. Summer is over and it is a beautiful sight to see the leaves change. Thanksgiving will be right around the corner when we can thank God for what we have and be w/ families.
