Worldwide Church of God (WCG)

Two young men knocked on my door yesterday wanting to talk about a new revelation. Mentioning a mother god and the New Jerusalem in regards to end times. Have any of you run across these door knockers? Or know what church they belong to?

here are the false beliefs
Ahsahngsong is the manifestation of God the father.
Instead of trinity, God is one with 3 personas or egos instead of separate beings with one nature.
They believed that the wife of the leader is the spiritual mother of humans.
Salvation is by works and baptism.
Humans are said to be once angels falling down from heavens.
The last but not the least, the leader's revelations are the most unique one no different from the "claims" of Mormonism, JW, 7th Day and too many to mention.

The World Wide Church of God (Armstrong) is a different cult than the cults mentioned in the Wiki Article.

WWCoG admitted to being a cult in the 90s.

You would think that by now Satan could come up with something origional! Good thing he isn't too bright... he can't be.. if he can read, then he would know we win!

He's the most intelligent creature made by God, or so it says in the Bible. He knows *very* well what God has said in the Bible and thus His statements about what will ultimately happen. However, I honestly don't think Satan believes that he will lose because he has immense confidence/pride in his own intellect and ability to persuade. My guess is that he will try to argue one last time before he's sent to the pit and that he must truly believe that he will be able to convince God or find a loophole. I personally think he's crazy, because he's letting his pride do all of his thinking for him to the point that he's being incredibly stubborn and foolish--to the point that he'll be damned (literally) rather than admit he was wrong. And here I thought *I* was stubborn...sheesh! Poor thing.

WWCoG admitted to being a cult in the 90s.

The first Wiki article referenced the "mother god" and the "New Jerusalem Mother" which covered the "doctrinal" specifics mentioned in the OP. The article Buzz posted referenced the WcoG name and that it had been changed to GCI but also was the same type of cult - a precursor if you will - to the very similar WMSCoG.

Satan has had a long time to conjure fake "religions" and there are far too many willing to eagerly follow. It baffles my mind and grieves my spirit that so many are so easily deceived.
