I'll pray for you son - and all the others here who have this issue.
My son obsessed on planes. He could tell you every plane the US had and all about it. He took my glue gun and toothpicks and built a biplane, propeller and all!

    I'm obesseive about.
    Anatomy and medical topics
info. from Nazi Germany (despite having a little bit of German in me-probably not much though-I'm not that way). I've been interested ever since I took a class for about half a year in 11th grade on Nazi Germany.
I also like spinning Taz.I like Snoopy but especially the one in the airplane.
I'm interested in stuff relating to pregnancy and children. That's probably one of the reasons why I also like Kimi and Dil (from Rugrats). There's the development of the child, the very early early cylce/s with the zygote. I took Anatomy and the begginers Nursing class.(which was for 9th graders but I took it late-any grade could be in it though in high school) in 12th grade. That probably helped my interests. I also take an interest in the mentallly disabled (like those with down syndrome).

Most importently, I'd love to talk to people about Jesus! Unfortuntly, when there's people who don't believe in the same Jesus and arguments could come out, that option really doesn't come out.

I never though of my interests as obsessive, I just thouroughly enjoyed them and accepted the fact that some did not.

Trains still is the big one, although I don't consider myself a Biran Hollingsworth, I can easily spot a GP38-2 versus a GP39.
Now get into the phase 2a verses a phase IIIc and it will get dicey.

Planes, Mopar, firearms, military history... I actually stood on Cemetery Ridge, checked the maps and envisioned the CSA attack.

Maybe there is a measure of imagination, artistic talent that is enhanced in an aspie to make up for the lacking social skills.

I know my social skills are close to nonexistent, and I've never had many friends... And what happened with one girl in particular came close to souring me on people outside of my family entirely. (I've shared that particular disaster of a friendship in other threads.) And the few real friends I made in high school I lost touch with after graduation. I try not to think about it much, but at times I'm profoundly lonely. I wish it were easier for me to reach out to people. It stinks to scare people off because I come on too strong... or have them walk off because I can't bring myself to say anything. And, I kinda already know I'm never getting married. I just don't think I could ever find a guy who could love a girl this broken or that I could trust enough to even try. (Sorry about the long derail... I just needed to get this outta my system.) Maybe it's part of why I look forward to the Rapture so much. I just want to be able to think like a normal person... I want to not struggle with depression anymore.

    Lucky You. Really.
Gift giving is easy. Always someting to do - rail trail, loco spotting, train meets, Thomas.....

Norfolk Southern was just mentioned in the paper - they have painted a Heritage Fleet, diesels in paint schemes of predecessor roads.

This included Reading, Lehigh Valley, Pennsy, NYC, even Erie and DL&W. Better keep a camera in the car.
