Gold rush possible in southern Israel

First it was oil, then natural gas, now a group believes it has found a commercially-viable concentration of gold in Israel. A few weeks ago, Gulliver Energy Ltd. officially applied for a gold exploration permit in the mountainous area surrounding the southern Israel resort town of Eilat.

Chaired by former Mossad chief Meir Dagan, Gulliver believes, according to past drillings, that the area contains a reasonable amount of gold in concentrations of 3-4 grams per ton. Of course, the company would also expect to find large quantities of other precious metals, like copper. The mountainous regions of southern Israel were famous for their copper mines during Israel's biblical period.

Gulliver has teamed up with Northwood Exploration of Australia to explore the 43 square kilometer (16.6 square mile) area covered by their permit.

Should a large amount of gold and other metals be found, the companies' biggest problem will be that much of southern Israel is designated as nature reserves, and therefore off limits to mining.

Now that is a treasure I can see others coming to carry off! I am so awed by the Lord and how He is working in Israel. This beautiful land was never known for having any natural resources such as gold, oil or gas. Had these things been discovered 70 years ago or more, no doubt the land would still be a part of the British Empire. The Lord must have been hiding these things until now. He is blessing Israel greatly and in doing so, is showing the world that Israel is indeed the apple of His eye, and at the same time showing Israel herself that her God lives!

How awesome you are oh Lord my God!!

My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; the fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

    Baruch haba b'Shem Adonai!

This is a matter of speculation, but the true tomb of David is supposed to be on Mount Moriah, waiting to be discovered. Inside it may be millions and millions of dollars in gold and quite possibly the actual, physical throne that David sat on, the very throne that Jesus Christ may one day use (Isaiah 9:7; Luke 1:32). Solomon made for himself a brand new, very ornate throne. I doubt he would have destroyed his father's throne out of respect for his father.

If the above is true, and the tomb of David gets discovered with all the riches it is purported to contain, it would be a prize well worth invading Israel for! It could literally be the riches that certain countries come to carry off. If the tomb of David is indeed on Mount Moriah, the muslims would definitely claim the gold for themselves, for they seem to think that they own the Temple Mount (Mount Moriah), Jerusalem and all of Israel.

For those interested, here are some links to some articles I found fascinating. A few weeks ago I heard 3 different prophecy teachers talk about David's tomb on the same day, and I figured it was worth investigating. It was, it really was!

As the apple of God's eye, I would say their prosperity could be unlimited. So far they've found oil shale, natural gas, precious metals and I think they might have found actual oil deposits. I'd say this is just the beginning.

Couple this with the fact that if the tomb of David is found on Mount Moriah, there will umdoubtedly be artifacts in it that prove that the land of Israel belongs to the Israeli people, not anyone else! Quite frankly, I'd say the sky is the limit!

Joel Rosenberg wrote a book on this buried treasure.Very interesting.

Product DescriptionSaddam is gone. Arafat is dead, and a new Iraq is rising. But when a suicide bomber strikes Washington and assassinations unfold from London to Los Angeles, a new world of terror begins. At the heart of the mystery lies a 2,000-year-old scroll describing unimaginable treasures that could lead to the Third Jewish Temple. Is it a map to history's greatest treasure - or a map to Armageddon?
