Fibonacci.. no apologies necessary . I pray for the innocent people of Damascus, that they may see the impending disaster that is coming and get out before it is too late and then through that understanding come to Christ before it is again too late. Prayer is the most powerful tool you and I have we must engage it everyday.

We pray for God's will to be done, and we pray for Jesus to bring His Kingdom upon this earth, as well as praying for His rapture of the church; we get excited whenever we see Biblical prophesy in the media coming to fruition; we never pray for the destruction of anything (except for satan's plans of course) hope that clears things up for you for good.

Revelation 22:17a The Spirit and Bride are now saying, "Come!" The ones who hear are now saying, "Come!" The ones who thirst are now saying, "Come!" Come LORD Jesus !

I see that you apologized in a later post

    I withdraw my comments

I have mentioned it before and it looks like it may be knocking on the door. After Israel was restored Isaiah said that Israel would fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west. These people are still alive today. Isaiah 14:28-32 prophesies of their end.

28 In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden.
29 Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.
30 And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.
31 Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.
32 What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.

Isaiah 11 uses Strong's H6430 and chapter 14 uses H6429. Don't these refer to the same people? The root is killed with famine and the remnant is slain. Here, everyone gets killed. Verse 31 mentions a smoke from the north. I believe this will be a nerve agent or gas. Assad has a stockpile of nerve agents and scuds to deliver them. If he will use them on his own people why wouldn't fire them at Tel Aviv? If that were the case, I believe they would go out of control like the recent Russian missile test and end up in Gaza. The end result would be the fulfillment of prophecy and would certainly give Israel justification for wiping out Damascus.

Off topic a bit here, but when we get home and things get really bad, will we be aware of whats happening on earth and will we have opportunities to pray for people who were left here?

There is a scary movement on that some who claim to be christian are promoting which basically state that by believing in these end time events and judgements that we can actually cause them to occur . This is why many will throw Israel under the bus, in opposition to God's word to support Israel. It is called the apostate church. The same one that promotes and accepts homosexuality. There is a big difference in recognizing the signs of the times and looking up for our redemption as opposed to taking joy in the suffering of others. Man will never bring peace to the world, no matter what some hope and think. Only Jesus will do that. The same people who always say peace, peace ( Jimmy Carter) ignore aggressors and chastise the innocent. The day is soon coming when a bible believing christian will be accused of doing the equivalent of yelling fire in a crowded theatre if he simply believes in the coming judgements. Imagine the horror if we awaken in the morning, to the news of the destruction of an entire city. 911 will seem tiny by comparison and I am still haunted by my memories of that day. There is no cheering from this christian for it to happen.

Default Russia sending attack helicopters into Syria

This is breaking all over the place. Can this be the "hook in the jaw" spoken of by Ezekiel?

    Israel Syria Civil War

    http://www.foxnews.com/world/2012/06...now-civil-war/

This just came across and I thought I'd share. Took them a while to admit what's been going on there, civil war.

My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; the fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

I'm not sure how these could be construed as part of the "hook in the jaw" although it is nice confirmation that the Russians are nessled in deeply with the Arabs.

I could see that if the Syrians are late with the payments for these, the Russians would be a bit miffed as this hardware is vaporized. It could certainly be cited as an excuse as to why Russia deserves monetary compensation as they march their troops towards Israel.

I just read about this and it is a serious event. Escalation will certainly happen. Russia has curtailed the US and other Countries from getting involved in this affair, yet they are feeding dangerous equipment to the Syrian regime. The Syrians have been using attack helicopters against civilians and they will continue to do so. Russia states these heli's are not to be used against civilians... Does anyone think terrorists will listen? If not their own people who will they be used against? Israel, the US??

We must continue to for the innocents in this stepped up war...

This is more of a PR stunt for Russia, mho. You can believe that Turkey is involved in some way. The message to Iran from Russia is this--'stand firm and wait and watch that our investments be not wasted.' There are israeli subs nearby...just in case. Russian leaders know this. More innocent blood shed...

Exclamation Syria 'in full-scale civil war'

Australin news feed is reporting that Syria has been declared in full-scale civil war by UN peacekeeping chief. Why they finally came to that decision, redefining the Syrian crisis only after UN observers were being fired on, seems a double-standard to me. And it is now clear that Russia is directly involved in the conflict!

It seems that Syria is fast becoming the central war front of the world with the division of super-powers apparent in the conflict. Will Isaiah 17 be the ultimate outcome?

Syria declared in civil war by UN peacekeeping chief

SYRIA is now in a full-scale civil war, UN peacekeeping chief Herve Ladsous said, as UN observers report being fired on as they tried to enter a town feared to be the focus of a new massacre.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has warned Washington will find it hard to support the extension of the observer mission beyond next month if the government of President Bahar al-Assad's regime continues to show "contempt" for a UN-backed ceasefire that was supposed to go into effect from April 12.

Asked whether he believed Syria is in a civil war, Mr Ladsous said: "Yes I think we can say that. Clearly what is happening is that the government of Syria lost some large chunks of territory, several cities to the opposition, and wants to retake control."

"I think there is a massive increase in the level of violence, so massive indeed that in a way it indicates some change of nature," he said.
"Now we have confirmed reports of not only of the use of tanks and artillery but also attack helicopters."

The under-secretary-general for peacekeeping operations is the most senior UN official to indicate he believes there is a civil war. UN leader Ban Ki-moon said last week that he believed it was "imminent".
At least 120 people have been killed in the fighting in and around Al-Haffe over the past week, including 68 troops, 29 civilians and 23 rebel fighters, with hundreds wounded, according to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The UN observers were forced to abandon their attempt to reach the town yesterday when an angry crowd in a nearby pro-government village threw rocks and metal bars at them, and unknown assailants then fired on them.

Mr Ladsous said one military observer came close to being hit by a bullet.

"We thought he was injured but in fact the bullet did not enter him but hit his boot.

"There were many impacts that hit the car, so it was deliberate," he said.

Another UN official said the crowd that surrounded the UN convoy was carrying government flags and at least 20 bullets hit the car carrying the observers.
"We are concerned about the latest information we have that there are attack helicopters on the way from Russia to Syria, which will escalate the conflict quite dramatically," she said.

"We have confronted the Russians about stopping their continued arms shipments to Syria. They have from time to time said we shouldn't worry, that everything they're shipping is unrelated to their actions internally. That's patently untrue."

Found a live stream of whats going on in Homs - http://bambuser.com/v/2735300

a lot of gunfire going on in the distance, sounds close. I can see smoke in the background. Loud explosions can be heard from the shelling going on.

I can't imagine the horror of the innocents caught in the middle. Worst thing about watching this is there is nobody in the streets, but it still continues.
