    Default Dock from Japan washes ashore in Oregon

    All this debris from the Japanese tsunami is showing up on the Oregon beaches.I would not want to wade in those waters right now.

    We saw that in the paper - we live in Washington State. A big concern is invasive species. The article talked about scraping off the stuff living on it; I hope they got it all. The other thing I noted is although this thing was pretty big, it was too small to track. So what else is out there?

    That is what I was wondering.It would not be too cool to be taking a stroll on the beach in the water and have something big hit you.

    The state legislature has passed a bill authorizing an annual observance of the driftwood arrival, as well as a Western gunfighter: Dock Holiday.
