What Is With These Security Leaks?

In consecutive weeks, the New York Times produced stories about Obama’s tough tactics on terror sourced from high-level officials in the administration.

One week it was all about Obama’s “kill list” and how the president personally decide which individuals, including U.S. citizens abroad, should be killed by his aggressive drone program.

The next week, it was all about how Obama had personally intervened to push for a cyber attack on Iran’s nuclear weapons program even when others warned of risks. The story that emerged from all three leaks – bin Laden, “kill list,” and the nuclear virus – was that of Obama the intrepid.

Something very wrong is going on here. This is clearly purposeful, and very harmful to America. Can anyone make sense of this?

These leaks are certainly top secret and could only come from someone within the inner circle of Obama's in the WH. Obama may say he is offended by inferences that his WH staff was involved but I ask...who else? Surely he doesn't have the main stream media in these high level briefings and meetings! I smell a rat somewhere and for what purpose...to put our national security and troops at risk???? These leaks are despictable and shameful if done for political gain.

To my mind, the reason for the leaks is very clear. Obama authorized them because he thought it would make him appear in a good light and help him win in Nov. He is grasping at straws because he has NO record to run on. He doesn't care if American lives are put in danger or not, the only important thing is that he get re-elected

Somehow I can't help but feel this will all get swept under the rug and an investigation will be stalled, just like Atty Gen'l Eric Holder. In previous administrations there was the perverbial scapegoat. Today they hem/haw, stall and blame "others" and no one is held accountable for their actions and they know it so the leaks will continue to come.
