She is very provocative in movement and dress in some music videos, so she already does not try to 'live out' whatever morals she has said she believes in...
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
    For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.

It seems when it comes to celebreties they are either spaced out, scholarly enlightened....

Or the balance sheet (sales and gm$) dictates their morals.

This made me very sad when I read it - because she is usually very outspoken about her Christian beliefs

    From the article:
“As a married person myself, I don’t know what it’s like to be told I can’t marry somebody I love, and want to marry. I can’t imagine how that must feel,” Underwood says. “I definitely think we should all have the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love.”

“Above all, God wanted us to love others,” she adds. “It’s not about setting rules, or [saying] ‘everyone has to be like me’. No. We’re all different. That’s what makes us special. We have to love each other and get on with each other.”
    Seriously?!!

No rules, just love whatever it is you want to love and do it publicly, that is what God wants according to Underwood.

Maybe she has never read the Bible and that is why she is confused...........
Psalm 30:11-12 (New King James Version)

    11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,
12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

u arent alone in that feeling. many christians have become so PC'D they think like the world thinks.

it is mainly cause most churches wont take a stand on moral issues nowadays.

I am not surprised. except for Kirk Cameron, most christian celebs are very liberal or pseudo-conservative in their beliefs.

    most christians wont:

    1. call SIN what it is: SIN

    2. wont speak out against false groups like the New Apostolic Reformation or the Prosperity Gospel movement

    3. wont publically say they believe Jesus is the only way to Heaven (John 14:6) cause many christians are afraid of offending people and taking a stand for the truth.

that is why most christians nowadays are liberal or pseudo-conservative:

cause many dont have a backbone and afraid people and in particular are afraid of angering or offending pressure groups

(including some so called "christian" pressure groups who believe psuedo-unity is better than telling the truth)

sorry if this offends anyone, but it is my observations that have got me come to these conclustions

Now I'm sad. I always knew most Christians who are celebs won't speak out usually- its "bad for business". They could offend people and lose fans. Therefore, they usually will stay quiet. They can then keep a stable fan-base, and make as much money as they normally do.

But I never thought she would be that way. Or believe something like that. She was my role-model. It's very upsetting to know what the people you set such high standards for actually stand for.

Maybe the Bible she's been reading is Jimmy Carter's new version: it's gender-neutral, environmentally-friendly and a real ear tickler.

she could have also been raised in a seeker-driven church.

they are very PC and ear-tickling

Christians who have decided the gay agenda is normal and acceptable need to start imagining the following:

    The anger, dismay, disgust and sadness on the Lord's face when He is watching someone use His image (we are made in His image) to perform an act He refers to as abominable;

the loss of one's own personal rewards in heaven, for having caved in to our pc culture and not finished the race well

    and

the souls writhing in torment in hellfire because rather than being told about the love and sacrifice of Jesus and their own need for salvation, they've been told that it's okay to sin, and they've been told this by someone who claims to be a follower of Jesus!!!

I wonder how much change this would make among the Lord's carnal Christians if they would picture these things in their minds?

My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; the fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

I don't see how anyone can claim to be Christian and support non-Bibical issues. When Obama came out with his declaration of his support, I was disgusted, but not supprised as his first act in the White House was to refund abortion clinics.

I agree this is why I believe if she truly is a born again believer that she is compromising on the way she dresses & gay marriage is against God. She needs to read her Bible & put it into practice in her life.

    C. Underwood, as well as many other well-meaning (?) Christians don't understand or never knew that the love the Bible speaks about that we are to have for one another, even our enemies, is an agape non-sexual love, as in kind, patient, etc. (1 Co 13). Our society tries to intertwine the two, and it won't work. Sadly, when taking this erroneous stand on this hot-button topic, the pc Christians are creating stumbling blocks for new and/or potential Christians. And by taking the pc stand they/she has taken a stand that is contrary to the Word of God and against her brothers and sisters in Christ who stand with/on the Word. Pray for her/them.
Ph 3:15 (paraphrased):...And if on some point you and I think differently, that too God will make clear to us. Only let us live up to what we have already attained.

    it's simple:

we have let the seeker driven and purpose-driven movements hijacks most churches and many christians listen to the words of Bill Hybels and Rick Warren

Sounds like she's completed her journey towards being a complete Apostate.
Ioan 14:6 Dicit ei Iesus ego sum via et veritas et vita nemo venit ad Patrem nisi per me.

and she will likely be embraced by the emergent church folks soon.

look, I am suspect of any celeb out there who calls themself a christian and stays silent on moral issues.

REAL courage is standing up for the truth nowadays and speaking out against the far-left bullies who bully christians into being PC

Carrie Underwood and Heidi Montag and Miley Cyrus and Kristin Chenowith are all examples of liberal celeb "christians" that are out there and they arent alone.

I wish there were conservative celeb christians, but many are afraid to speak out.

Default Carrie Underwood Supports Gay Marriage

    http://www.people.com/people/article...603182,00.html

As a married person myself, I don't know what it's like to be told I can't marry somebody I love, and want to marry," the "Jesus, Take the Wheel" singer – and devout Christian – told Britain's The Independent newspaper.

"I can't imagine how that must feel," she said. "I definitely think we should all have the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love."

Underwood says it's actually her faith that's led her to support gay marriage.

"Above all, God wanted us to love others," the recent CMT award winner said. "It's not about setting rules, or [saying] 'everyone has to be like me.' "

"No, we're all different," she continued. "That's what makes us special. We have to love each other and get on with each other. It's not up to me to judge anybody."

The former American Idol winner, who was raised Baptist, recently switched to a nondenominational congregation along with her husband Mike Fisher, a professional ice-hockey player.

Underwood joins other stars such as Anne Hathaway, Daniel Radcliffe and Chris Evans in supporting marriage equality.

I think Carrie needs to read her Bible.
    Matthew 11:28
Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
