I skimmed it on Google Books, awhile back, and liked the parts I read over fairly quickly (of the pages that were available to read there). I think it has a publication date of May 2012, so yes, I guess it must be new.![]()
I'm sorry to change the topic but since these two men were mentioned I was wondering if anyone here subscribes to their Pre-Trib Monthly Newsletter. I was just wondering when it usually comes out each month. I subscribed May 27th and have yet to recieve anything and e-mails are going un-answered. Thanks!
I purchased that book last week via Sam's Club; so far I think it's great! I've read about 50% of the book and it seems quite Biblically sound. My ONLY red flag was the chapters Tim LaHaye wrote, as he states that ALL who are left behind in the Rapture will receive another chance to accept Christ and be saved. I was under the impression that The Lord placed a "strong delusion" upon those who had already rejected Christ in this life.
I did give thought to other groups of people that don't fall under that "category", but Tim LaHaye does state that ALL will be given another chance. Other than that part, I have found the book to be very good.
I have heard that Tim LaHaye is off trackI recently saw a book advertised by Tim LaHaye,Thomas Ice and Ed Hindson. The title is "The Popular Handbook on the Rapture.Anyone read it yet?It looks like a new book.Although the concept is not new.![]()
Sea Shelly, do you have any specific examples? I'd be interested to know in which way he might be "off track," exactly. Thanks.![]()
(By the way, I thought pages 157-170 [by him, if I recall rightly] were "spot on"... the particular subject covered therein. But as mentioned before, I didn't have access to every page of the book online.)
ETA: I have not read his "Left Behind" fictional series (in which, as I understand it, he takes a bit of creative license[?]), but I'm more interested in how he might be "off track" in the root (underlying) doctrinal positions (even pertaining to eschatology), on which he based the series, and/or in his other material. Thanks.![]()
I hope I'm allowed to post these (please remove the ones that breach the rules)-Sea Shelly, do you have any specific examples? I'd be interested to know in which way he might be "off track," exactly. Thanks.
