I definitely think we should all have the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love.”
I would ask Carrie if her declaration would include brothers & sisters who wish to marry.

How about plural marriage where a man claims to love several women?

What about an adult and an adolescent who swear they are soul mates?

Why does someone support two unhygienic people receiving special treatment for their unclean and wrong life together, and being hateful towards opposition on top of that?

Oh, Carrie. I was so proud of you for publicly declaring your faith.

But, sweetheart, you really need to read your Bible. God is loving, yes, but He is also holy and just. He finds this act abominable because it goes against His creation. Sex is not love. You may notice that a lot of homosexuals base their whole life around with whom they choose to have sex. This is their whole identity, and it is not of God. It does not glorify Him in any way. We must love the homosexual and pray for their deliverance from this sin. We, as children of God, are NOT to embrace sin and call it good.

Not terribly surprised. I've wondered what flavor of feel-good, appease-the-world Christianity she was from the get-go. Some of her comments, etc. during the season where she won AI were questionable.

Default Carrie Underwood Supports Gay Marriage

Carrie Underwood was quoted as saying she believes everyone should have the right to love. She also noted that her church was gay-friendly and it wasn't her job to judge people.

Luk 13:25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.' "But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.' "Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.' "But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!' "There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out.

Please pray for my daughter Lindsey to seek a relationship with Jesus while he may still be found.

Can we HAVE it both ways? Being a christian who believes gay marriage is ok? I don't think we can.

If we say that Christ is our Lord how can we deny what He says?

I'd like to add a lil' something here.....

While I've been a Christian for more than 30 years, it's only in the last 2 years, that I have been deeply studying the Word. What I have found is, there was one certain sin that I was committing that was, in my mind, justifiable. It wasn't until deep study, and a closer walk with God, that I realized I was screwing up.

This girl might very well be a Christian, and love God deeply, but just hasn't gotten into the Word like she should.
I'm not justifying it, just giving a different view.

Gradywhite...excellent point. I am guilty as well. I guess my hope is that we stand stronger for the Lord.
So much wishy-washiness out there. We have to stand firm, in love.

I think that is probably true with a lot of Christians. They honestly believe some of these things because they've been told by their pastors, and in their minds the pastor is an authority on what the Bible says. A lot of Christians haven't really even digested the milk, yet, much less the meat. My neighbor, self-identified as a Christian, is prime example. When I have suggested that she read what the Bible actually says about something, she tells me she doesn't have to because her pastor has read it and knows what it says. She thinks abortion is OK, and her heart is softening about homosexual clergy and marriage because her pastor is supportive, and it doesn't hurt that her denomination supports these things. I am sure she is one of many of the flock who is being misled by her shepherd.

Oh, she also doesn't claim herself as "born-again". She thinks that means something entirely different than what it is. Again, she learned that in church. . My husband and I, on the pleas of her and her husband, went to ONE church service. We were trying to find a church, and they really loved theirs. I looked around at all these little sheep, drinking in every word she preached, nodding and wiping at tears and was absolutely horrified. There was no mention of Jesus. The sermon was about a single mother who couldn't pay her bills, so her heat and electricity were cut off. There was a general mention of "goodness and light" and something about "spirit", but NO JESUS.

And that was the Christmas Eve service.

THIS is what we are up against.

YES! That's just how it seems to be now! It breaks my heart. We have to share the Gospel to these people!
It saved then and it saves now! Thank You, Jesus
