Default Iran: Ahmadinejad will retire from politics

    June 16th, 2012

    (google translation)

Berlin / Tehran. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad thinks about his career end. According to a media report, the controversial politician wants to retire from politics in early 2013. He'd like to leave a loophole open.

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wants to withdraw completely by the end of his second term next spring out of politics. "Eight years is enough," Ahmadinejad said in an interview published on Saturday in advance of the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung". "I plan to return to the science," said Ahmadinejad, who had taught before being elected mayor of Tehran in February 2003 at the University of Tehran.

The Iranian president is a hydraulic engineer and in 1997 received his doctorate with a thesis on transportation. "Maybe I'm going to engage in politics at university, but I will not start a political party or group," said the 55-year-old.

According to the Iranian constitution after two terms he may not run again for president. A subsequent return to the presidency following the example of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ahmadinejad closed off.

The ultra-conservative politician in 2005 was the first time an Iranian president has become. His re-election in June 2009 was highly controversial and accompanied by violent protests. In foreign policy, his tenure was marked by his polemic against Israel and the dispute with the West over Iran's nuclear program. In recent years, Ahmadinejad has also lost in the increasingly conservative support. His relationship with Parliament, but also the spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is cocked.

I wonder how this weaves into his helping usher in the mahdi, or whatever that person was called... Has he had to give up on that idea, I wonder?

Maybe he is quitting so he can spend all his time checking every well in Iran looking for his little buddy.

Ahmadinejad is a deeply committed Shiite and claims that he is to personally prepare the world for the coming Mahdi. In order for the world to be saved, it must be in a state of chaos and subjugation, and Ahmadinejad feels he was directed by Allah to pave the way for that. Ahmadinejad has repeatedly made statements about destroying the enemies of Islam. The Iranian President and his cabinet have supposedly signed a contract with al Mahdi in which they pledge themselves to his work.

When asked directly by ABC reporter Ann Curry in September 2009 about his apocalyptic statements, Ahmadinejad said, “Imam...will come with logic, with culture, with science. He will come so that there is no more war. No more enmity, hatred. No more conflict. He will call on everyone to enter a brotherly love. Of course, he will return with Jesus Christ. The two will come back together. And working together, they would fill this world with love.”

So the Imam which will bring about world peace, brotherly love, culture and logic (read: worldwide Caliphate), can only be summoned with war, violence, hatred, and insanity? And Christ will be his lieutenant? Maybe he also believes that 2+2=fish.
    Ephesians 3:17-18
    That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

"It is by faith alone we are saved, but not by faith which is alone."

According to this belief, not only will Christ come with him, Christ will claim Christianity false and Islam the one true faith, and will order Christians and Jews be killed. Why, that sounds downright peaceful and full of brotherly love now doesn't it?

Keep my Lord and Savior, the King of kings, Lord of lords, the Alpha and Omega out of your stinky Islamic prophecies! Your christ is NOT Christ!

This sounds too good to be true for him to retire, but would be great.

Unless whoever replaces him were worse, if that is possible to even imagine.

Which is a possibility and quite easily imaginable I think. I think Ahmadinejad was a lot of hot air. Saddam Hussein was far more a psycho!

That is my thoughts exactly! Whoever succeeds him is going to be 10 fold worse. Probably going to make Ahmadinejad sound like a growling puppy compared to what the new one might bring.

He has said he was the chosen one to usher in the Mahdi, so either he's finally giving up hope or maybe he believes the Mahdi is coming before 2013 ?

In any event if this is true I say - Don't let the door hit you on the way out!

Good point! I always felt like he was only hot air because the hand of God was holding him back, though. Imagine if he had acted on even a fraction of what he said, and I don't doubt his desire to. Creepy man!

Don't count your chickens yet. Since when has Ahmadinejad told the truth????? We are infidiles and it is ok to lie to us. He likes to play mind games. I think he is bluffing to cool the west and get them off his back about the nukes.
Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world.

Maybe he wants to get the whole political spectrum out of the way, and go into full time "Mahdism". Promote the 12th Imam full time and start some weird cult or something. Just like Tony Blair and Kofi Annon did when they got into full time "Good willism" with their whole good will ambassador campaign after they dropped out of politics.

It seems like Ahmadinejad and Obama know more than they are telling us by their recent "out of character" comments. There is something even greater for them just ahead and they KNOW it. Once the Restrainer is removed, they will be free and empowered to join the greatest tyrants ever known to man. Both have tasted blood and like it. Satan won't let that special quality walk away. In fact, he will reward it.
