    Default To my Father . . .

    To my Father . . .

    To my Father, who was the Leader of our family,

    Who loved the Lord Jesus Christ and lead by example,

    Who loved his wife, my mother, until she when HOME in 2004, and was an example of what a husband should be,

    Who loved justice so much he felt lead to become a Deputy Sheriff,

    Who touched the lives of every member of the public he talked to,

    Who put his life on the line to keep others safe,

    Who dealt with the worst parts of humanity, suicide, murder, domestic violence,

    Who came home and taught us lessons he learned from each of these experiences,

    Who shared his faith in Jesus Christ with all who asked, “how can you handle everything you see and deal with?”

    Who loved the Lord’s Return, and was actively reading and studying end time prophecy (his love for this was ignited by reading Lindsey’s book Late Great Planet Earth, when it was first published.)

    Who, when after having a triple bypass, (after developing complications of which he should have died from,) was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis (a “death sentence” within five years of diagnosis) continued to share Jesus, for the next two years, with everyone he came in contact with . . . even three hours before he went HOME on May 23, 2012.

    Who is now in the Presence of the Lord . . . My dad is experiencing the Ultimate “Father’s Day!!!!”

    I miss you dad, I will see you soon!

    Love, your daughter, Sharon

    Dedicated to all of those who were not so Blessed to have a Godly Father.

    A Lost Promise

    © Jacqueline Uvalle

    I am not the way I used to be
    I am stronger and wiser as you can see;
    Remember my words, my father said
    As he cradled me up and laid me to bed;
    You will someday be a lady with a life of your own
    With someone to love you as I have shown;
    I will always be here to lend a hand
    To help you and guide you when you don't understand;
    Somehow I believed his words I'd see
    He was not the father he promised to be;
    Instead he was a man that did not care
    My mother was my father because he was never there;
    I often cry myself to sleep
    My fathers love was not mine to keep;
    I miss my father I won't lie
    Not a single hug or one last goodbye;
    He is now a man free to roam
    Not worrying of his family or coming home;
    He walked out of my life and never turned my way
    Oh why daddy why didn't you stay?

    Sharon, may the Lord lift you and your family up and give you all peace. I hope your Dad can somehow see your lovely tribute (maybe via heavenly messenger?). I'm sure he would be very touched!

    May all those with godly, loving fathers realize, like Sharon, what a blessing godly fathers are.

    For all those who were not so blessed, may your father quickly choose a close walk with the Lord and may your relationship with your father be healed. Where that is not possible, may the Lord heal your heart and may you find comfort in His word. (e.g., Ps 27:10 Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.)

    And may you all strongly feel the loving presence of our Heavenly Father in your lives.

    "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:19-21

    Sharing tributes to our Dads is a great idea, Sharon. My Dad went home--what I like to think of as graduating from this "boarding school" earth--in 2007. I sooo look forward to seeing him again!

    Dad Went Home Not Long Ago
    by T. Lily

    Dad went home not long ago,
    My heart is hurting so,
    I know I’ll see him once again,
    Just when I do not know.

    Signs say the trump will soon sound out,
    In clouds Christ will arrive.
    The dead in Christ will be caught up,
    Along with those alive.

    Look up, prepare, the time is near,
    It’s even at the door.
    The signs are all around us now,
    We seek that beautiful shore.

    Jesus is our bridge to God,
    The one and only way.
    Are you ready? Did you choose?
    If not, please don’t delay.

    Spread the word, the stakes are high.
    Together let’s rejoice…..
    .....In Heaven, not Hell, God’s gift is free!
    Forever is the choice.

    Dad went home not long ago,
    But death was just a portal.
    He’s alive in paradise,
    Strong…..happy…..and immortal!

    John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."
    John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
    Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
    Eph 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast.
    Rom 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
    John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."
    John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
    John 10:17-18 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
    John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
    Acts 4:12 "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
    John 5:24-25 “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live."
    2 Pet 1:11 And you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
    Ps 16:11 You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
    John 14:2-3 In my father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
    1 Cor 2:9 However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"--
    2 Cor 4:17-18 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
    Col 1:12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
    Ps 27:13 I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

    "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
