    Default Creation Museum

Was wondering if anyone has visited the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky. And if so, what did you think?

My family is thinking about taking a trip together and that was one option that was presented.

Yep, it's "close" to where I live. I really liked it.
I mostly enjoyed the planetarium where the narrator comes from the angle that God designed all of it, etc....from a Christian viewpoint.

If you're going to take kids, you won't be able to read much of the stuff on displays, etc...
You'll have to plan on making another trip 'without' them to get a full digestion of the place.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

We went in April. I think it's probably really interesting for middle school on up if they want to do the reading throughout the museum. My kids are 4, 6, and almost 9. They all enjoyed it, but they didn't like waiting around while we read stuff.

since I posted about the same time as Jacinth, I'll edit my post to add that my oldest loved the planetarium part. My middle one probably would have too, but he doesn't sit still long enough and I was worried he'd be a distraction.

Haven't been but would love to go! The museum is by Answersingenesis.com founder Ken Ham who I find to be true the Bible without compromise so I think it should be right on!

I'd love to go myself... but no money for such a trip.

We went two years ago . . . kids were 12, 9 and 7. It was easily the highlight of my trip, which included amusement parks and Branson. I HIGHLY recommend it -- don't doubt for a minute that you will enjoy it. You WILL.

My husband and I were there 2 or 3 years ago and we thought it was a GREAT place!! I very much recommend it!

My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; the fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

    Baruch haba b'Shem Adonai!
