    Default Left behind Movies

They were playing on GMC this weekend, I've seen the first but never the second and third. I liked them. Sure they were a bit hokey, I still enjoyed watching them. I was cheering at the end of the second one and weepy watching the third. The antidote to the bibles poisoned by the AC was communion red wine!!! I thought that was GREAT!! :clap I wish they kept going, I would watch them all.

As we get closer and closer, it was a good reminder of how bad things are going to be during the Trib. I wish there was a way to warn all the unreached, frog pot boilers, that yes! it's coming and it's not going to be pretty. I hate to think of my nonbelieving family having to live in the times that are coming.

Maybe buy some a set and with a note, don't watch until there is a mysterious disappearance...

I have all three. I think they're "B" movies but like them none-the-less because of the rapture/tribulation story. Biblical tribulation should make for some blockbuster action movies...

The same people, Cloud Ten Pictures, that made Left Behind (and sequels) is raising money to re-make a more "blockbuster" and bigger more expensive Left Behind movie than the first one. They hope to raise about 100 million to remake Left Behind. I loved the first one just fine.
Psalm 30:11-12 (New King James Version)

    11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,
12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

It'll be a $10M+ blockbuster. They've found a producer, the screen play is written and casting is starting. They hope to release it in theaters by mid-2013... at the rate things are moving prophetically, we'll see...

Here's the facebook page for Paul Lalonde - the Cloud 10 pictures owner. He releases info about the movie remake on there:

At this rate, they should keep a live super high-speed camera on the sky at all times, they may just get live footage.

I'm excited to hear they are remaking Left Behind with a bigger budget, can't wait to see it! I LOVED all the books in the series. I need to go back and read them again.

I didn't see it, but I remember all the comments about the neatly folded clothes, in the first movie.

" I have had an increasing burden to engage in some down and dirty, street evangelism." March 6, 2010

Isaiah 6:8 I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “ Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?”

Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

    Matthew 22:9 NIV
'So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’

    I'm praying for you daily!

That was in the movie Apocalypse (of the Apocalypse, Revelation, Tribulation and Judgment series of movies). The Left Behind movie had the clothes laying as if the people just disappeared.

Well, they'll have to include a sprinkling of the F-word, some violence, and sexual content in order to be taken seriously by today's mass audience. I hate to sound cynical but by leaving out these familiar elements the Cloud Ten people will still be playing only to you & me.

Does anyone remember the 1970s "The Omen" films about the antichrist? The trilogy wasn't solidly biblical but they did contain scripture and references to Christ's return. One character pleads with William Holden's character to accept Christ. "He's the only one who can protect you!" she cried.

One thing that helped make these movies hugely successful was their R-rating for some shockingly graphic content and raw language. If they had been G-rated they would have been widely ridiculed and quickly dismissed as "religious tripe". Straight to video.

IMO the day has passed for a bible-based Christian film to have a chance at success beyond the believing community. The mass audience has been conditioned to laugh at such a story.

I was 15 when I saw the first "Omen" movie; it absolutely freaked me out! I haven't gone to a movie like that since. Sci-fi is usually no better but I do like it.

I don't think I would be successful at interpreting God's word in film. I wouldn't even try. Precious few movies have done any justice to the Scriptures.

Reading the books are what brought me back to God after I strayed. After devouring the series, I bought the first three movies and I am slightly disappointed in the movies, but I liked them anyway. I can't wait to see the new movie.
