Thread: Obama Care Survives

I think Roberts' motivation is pretty basic -- fear and pride. He saw this as an opportunity to attach his name to something "historic", and he wanted to receive praise instead of criticism from the academy and media which are both overwhelmingly liberal.

To overturn the law, not only does Romney have to win, but Republicans have to keep the house and turn the senate. THEN, the squishy Republicans have to demonstarate some spine, vote in solidarity and use some tricks like reconciliation, all the while being savaged by the media. THEN all the liberal lawsuits that would inevitably follow would have to be overcome.

Folks, it isn't going to happen. Even if the law is overturned, the damage to the constitution from this decision remains.

How lost we would be if not for the fact that the Lord is in control.

I keep hearing this and I wonder if these folks parroting this notion understand the Supreme Court's role in the founding father's idea of checks and balances. In particular, I wonder if Roberts himself understands at all what it means when the Supreme Court makes a ruling in this once great Republic.

If this was his mindset, he's a certifiable nimrod. You don't save the nation by destroying the constitution. That's like trying to fix a roof by dynamiting the foundation.

I have never ever felt this homesick and beleive me, there have been times that I have hit my knees and begged God to please call us home.
I understand. But let me mention that even though I am saddened as well, it was encouraging last night to see the Confederate Air Force World War II fighters flying in circles over my apartment complex in celebration of the 4th. (with their red and blue lights on). That's the first time I can recall they've done it that way right over my area.

I thank my Lord for those moments.

    antitox: that's wonderful!!

I hope that recent events have fired up and ignited the American spirit and that this 4th of July is celebrated with even more meaning than in past years.
Thank you, God, for my salvation!

After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this."

Obama came to my small farm town today and ate at a restaurant. I went out of town but had I known he was going to come here I would have made a sign that said 'It's a tax' and stood on the main corner with it.

I wish I knew he was going to be here, but looks like it was a last minute thing. He really messed alot of people up on the roads, my daughter was late getting to work and my ex had to sit in someones driveway for an hour to clear the main road. He stopped at a farm market in Marblehead and got some fruit and veggies. I wonder if the owner asked him about the healthcare tax since they have to have over 50 employees. Oh the things that could have been...lol!!!!

I think we have a new nickname for Barry.
