How do we know that the destruction of Damascus (Isaiah 17:1) will happen AFTER the Rapture? Do we have a scripture for it? Maybe it'll happen before the Rapture?

I found it amusing the rulings to not allow the 10 commandments to be posted in any public building.

If I recall correctly, the Supreme Court motif is the 10 commandments

Scripture does not indicate if it's before or after the Rapture, so this would be conjecture. This was a good effort by Buzzardhut none-the-less, but I would say that we don't know the exact timing of Isaiah 17 fulfillment, except that the destruction is complete suddenly and overnight and by morning Damascus is in ruins.

I believe the destruction of Damascus will happen after the Rapture. Strictly my opinion, but I'm looking at the entirety of Chapter 17 of Isaiah and it sure has a Gog-Magog War feel to it. My opinion is of course based on Gog-Magog occurring after the Rapture (another unclear premise). During Gog-Magog, I think there will be a number of cities destroyed by God. If that is true, it would seem that those cities which have historically been centers of worship of false gods may be targets.

Damascus is mentioned all the way back to Genesis. But did you know there is a city in Syria with a larger population?

Some of these cities claim a continuously-populated history going back over four thousand years - and all have been involved primarily with false religions: Tyre, Sidon, Susa (Iran), Byblos. We know the armies of Gog and his allies will be decimated. IMO, so will ancient centers of paganism. Even the oldest continuously-inhabited city (Jericho) had to be wrested from the hands of pagans by God. (Joshua was present.)

BTW, what "uncanny weather" disasters are you referring to for 2012? My mind tends to merge them all into one
