Default Giving out Tracts at Festival

My friend and I are handing out tracts at a local festival this weekend and want to try to start some conversations with people about Christ. Please pray for good weather, the right people, the right timing, and for their hearts to be open to the gospel. Please pray for these people to be saved!

You know... it was a tract that first opened my heart and mind to Jesus. One little piece of paper and now it's changing my life... I will pray that God changes others through you!

You know I'll be praying for you and the recipients.

" I have had an increasing burden to engage in some down and dirty, street evangelism." March 6, 2010

Isaiah 6:8 I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “ Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?”

Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

    Matthew 22:9 NIV
'So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’

    I'm praying for you daily!

    Genesis,

    How did it go?
"Therefore my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable,
    always abounding in the work of the Lord;
knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain."

Oh, I forgot about this thread. haha It went pretty well. Nobody got saved right in front of us or anything, but most people accepted the tracts and we planted many seeds. There was one booth there where this guy was giving some sort of testimony- but it was not a Christian testimony. It was Hindu or some type of Eastern religion. We went up and gave him a tract and he accepted, but the 2 people who were sitting there listening to his testimony said "No thanks, we're Jewish". So...you'll listen to some Eastern religion testimony about healing and spirits, but won't read a Christian tract? We didn't say that, but that's what we were thinking. They asked what church we were from and such, and we got to invite them to church (they haven't come so far).

Also, my friend who I was handing out the tracts with had her family members come with her who were not saved. Her one cousin walked around with us for a while and kept telling us that we shouldn't be handing out tracts and that "you should never talk to people about religion or politics, because they are as sure about their beliefs as you are about yours". We witnessed to him some too.

Also, the first person we gave a tract to pulled out their own pack of tracts and said "you too?". They were evangelsits too. They asked if we coudl exchange tracts anyways to get some ideas from eachother, so that was pretty cool.

    Thanks for asking!

Thanks for the update. Sounds like it went well. It is encouraging for me to hear the results of evangelism. I love that someone else also had tracts to pass out!

God bless those who took the tracts and may He have mercy on those who declined, and lead them to Jesus in spite of themselves.
