Welcome! Like other posters, I too belong to a bible believing church with many wonderful Christians, yet no one that I know wants to talk about the soon-coming of Jesus including my grown children. I think most on the board have the same experience which is what prompted us to look for a place to connect. Many of us have concluded that the Lord Himself has appointed us as watchers for Him. It's the only thing that makes sense to us. We are so focused on His coming and our Christian brothers and sisters and just going merrily along most of the time. I love being a 'watcher' for Jesus!!
    Maranatha...maybe today!
Ph 3:15 (paraphrased):...And if on some point you and I think differently, that too God will make clear to us. Only let us live up to what we have already attained.

Ya, ya betcha. I was actually raised in California for a lot of years before moving back here (born in Wisconsin actually). So now my brother who is still in California teases me - ya, ya know!

Thank you for your welcome carol1948! My grown children don't want to talk about it either. They are busy raising their kids and looking ahead-but I don't know- what to? I think they think I'm negative. I can't think of a safer place for my family-this world is not our home! They are saved, thank you Jesus, but still think we have more time. That makes our "watching" all the more important, don't you think? The infor I get here helps so much, and I think as things happen it will make more sense to them and others. We must "walk and not faint" so to speak!..Take care!

Hi Carrie Grace! Great minds think a like as I was going to say a welcome to you too this am! You have a great sense of humor which lifts my spirits. We all really need that. God's gift of laughter is one I truly treasure. I know HE has a sense of humor-look at giraffes and bodily functions . But you also post sensible insights as well! But you had to mention donuts -sure hope they are in heaven as I'm not to eat them here (D-type 2). Oh well, cinnamon toast will have to do.LOL! (I hope you know I'm kidding sweetie).

Yeah, the skittos are horrible this year. But recieved a picture from a friend visiting in Mexico of a skitto there-you could put a saddle on it and ride! Said she had gone through 2 and 1/2 cans of "Off" already-after one week there!

I am truly blessed by this site-Thanking Jesus for you all -some very insightful people here! I'm really truly thankful!! Take care SIC

Hey,Bubbe!!! I just logged on for the first time in days (we're in the process of moving and in limbo--long story) , but I just logged in and see you left me a message! Couldn't get it yet, but I will try as soon as I can. It may take me a while to get back to you, but in the meantime, WELCOME, dear sister!! And, as you can see, my board name is "Little Bug" (another story), so I'm thinking maybe our 10,000 (or, should I say, 10 trillion??) Mosquitos don't tend to bother me too much because they think I'm one of them?!. Anyway, I am thrilled to welcome you! I can't wait to get settled so I can re-connect my IPad to its keyboard! This is taking me forever to type!. I've got way too much catching up to do here in RR, but it will come in our Lord's timing. Oh! How I love Him! Will contact you personally later, okay? Welcome again, Bubbe!.

    Your SIC, "Cindy"
Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near Luke21:28

    Cindy

Hi Cindy, don't worry, I kinda know what you've been going through on the Prayer Request section. Glad to hear you're ok. Will love hearing about your cute name "Little Bug". Take care and thank you for the awesome welcome SIC! ! LynnE

P.S., Yep, I think there is 10 Trillion of the skeeters this year. I just bet they love this hot weather. I don't! A few years ago I saw a church here in Eagan that had a sign out that said "You Think This Is Hot"!!

Hi Bubbe, the above quoted post could have been written by me!! My children are saved PTL but sometimes can't control the 'glazed' look when I mention something prophetic I too have four grandchildren and a husband still working, retirement not too far off though.

You have fitted in here so well I didn't actually realize that you were *new* and because of a gastro bug haven't been on the board as much lately and why I am coming late to this thread. So welcome from me.

Thank you so much for the lovely welcome Poppycat! (darling name by the way!). Everyone is so welcoming. Yes, our kids have their lives all planned and feel there is no reason to be "watchmen" right now. DS thinks things have to get so much worse-??? I may send them all a copy of Donna Wasson's article posted today. She is so good about putting things together.

I think the "kids" are just like those frogs (sorry kiddos) that won't notice the water is getting too darn hot! Being a grandma is so amazing and I can't help it, I want all of us to be safe with Christ!! If someone hurts my family-I may not be Christ-like in my reaction. I'm not proud of that, but I won't want to sit by while our government puts their hands on them. In Jesus' name it won't come to that. Sorry, needed to vent, LOL.

Hubby is six years younger than I, so he's not quite near retirement! I, on the other hand, haven't worked for ages. Just wish I could retire from Fibro!

Gosh, sure hope you are feeling much better-those gastro bugs can put you out of commission for a while! Praying you get your strength back real soon-you are a great prayer warrior I've noticed! Bless you always Poppycat! s LynnE
