Perfect [Economic] Storm

I don't think we have much to worry about I think Jesus is coming back for us before the economic storm blows in

I hope you are right!

But we could wake up one morning and find that the global economies have crashed. Overnight. That's how fast it can (and likely WILL) happen.

As others have stated, there are so many powder kegs around the world (middle east, economies, natural disasters, etc), that it won't take much to explode one...which will then cause the others to explode.

But the Lord could rapture us TODAY! I hope He does, too.

I think Jlutz is correct. Jesus indicated he would come back as in the Days of Noah when people were eating and drinking and giving in marriage. That does not sound like a time of economic chaos but it sounds more like business as ususal for the most part. He also said he would come back as a thief in the night and this indicates it comes as a big surprise to the mases but not to his children. Right now the serious watchers are aware of his soon return but the rest of the world would be utterly shocked if the rapture where to occur now!

But with all this stuff simultaneously occuring on the prophetic front God seems to be holding it back waiting IMHO for the big "tipping point" which I believe will be the rapture. That will cause the house of cards global economy and tenuious situation in the ME to completely implode and usher in the tribulation. Of course there could be any number of tipping points but the rapture is certainly a prime candidtate.

The storm beyond proportions is definitely building on the horizon.

I was just thinking about "Just In Time" salvation. I wonder how many of us Thank God and the person/group responsible for leading us to receive the free gift of salvation in Christ these days? If you think about it, we are so close to the "Rapture" based on the signs/birth pains we see, that many could be considered just making it in on time... I Praise God for all those he has led by the spirit to salvation... I accepted back in 1974 as new teen, but still thank God for his mercy on me daily.

1977 here!!! I was just a little girl...my mom came home from a church service that a friend had invited her to attend, and she accepted Christ there. She woke me up and told me all about Jesus. I'm so thankful for that!

Also, I was going to add...the Lord has been nudging me to stock up on food the past year and a half. I often wonder if it's for my family, or for someone else who is left behind at the rapture. I know that my dad and stepmom may come here...it could be a safe haven for them!
