Me and my wife had a conversation with someone last night that disturbed me. He believes that hthe mark of the beast is a spiritual mark not a physical mark. He also believes that people take the mark right now but have the freedom to repent and get rid of the mark of the beast in exchange for the mark of salvation. His argument is that ever since Jesus died on the cross for our sins we are saved by grace so why in revelation does it change? Your thoughts?
After the church age ends, God returns His attention to Israel and Jacob's 70th week begins. Study Daniel, Isaiah, Ezekiel, etc. 
The mark of the beast (And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. - Revelation 13:16-17) is instituted by anti-christ during the great tribulation (the time of Jacob's trouble.)
