    Question Posting on Facebook

I am feeling led to post something on Facebook about the nearness of the coming of Jesus. I have a lot of friends on Facebook, Christians and non-Christains.
I have posted in the past links to articles and different scripture.
I use Facebook mostly to post scripture about Jesus.
What I feel now is I'm supposed to post about the situation in Syria and the prophecy concerning Damascus. What more of a witness to share about it and then have them see it happen. Sooner or later it will happen.
I already know some of the feed back I will get. But I feel I am only thinking of myself if I don't post bc of some negative remarks I'll get. I'm just a non-confrontational person.

I would appreciate any suggestions about how to word my post.

I don't use Facebook, I just joined to look at people's photos.

I have everything on private and never post on anyone's wall so I am really just a stalker. But MOF would you mind sharing your Facebook with me? It would help me, I know. What is your Facebook ID? When you get my request, you can just accept me. Is that okay, you know my name. Can you please PM me your Facebook ID?

By the way I wrote you a couple nights ago and it didn't go through, so I tried again, it was just a question and it said your mailbox was full, so please empty your mailbox dear sister.

Btw, I love that you are getting together for prayer on Friday. I don't get out but I will believe what you say that many are under attack, in fact I see it on this forum!

I am so ready to go home! I feel like a foreigner here.

I also feel the need to post something on my FB too. But not sure how though... I have been thinking about this for the last few days... I'm sure I will think of something. On my FB I have quite a bit of non christians friends and very few Christians friends.

If God is leading you to post on Facebook then just do it. What is the worst that can happen, you get some negative responses? Big deal, just delete them or use it to open a discussion about the truth. Nobody is going to take away your birthday because you posted what you believe.

I use my facebook pretty much only for posting ends times things. Most of the time nobody responds, but I know people are reading so I keep posting. I invite tons of people to be my friends, I only know a handful of the people that are my Facebook friends, but the more that accept the more will see the truth

Don't over think it, trust and obey.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Cor 1:18

I'm not on FB at all, but I think this is a wonderful and insightful response. As Nike says, just do it.

I totally agree Jlutz!!! I post all kinds of stuff on FB...if any of you would like to be my FB friend, pm me on here and I will tell you my name so you can find me on there. I would have to say the majority of FB are Christian, or at least they have good morals...the vast majority of my FB friends are people with whom I went to school, with whom I have worked with in the past or with whom I currently work, a few of my son's friends and spouses of my co-wokers/schoolmates.

“My Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:40)

I love to write: here's an idea.

"Bible prophecy is coming to life right now, in Syria (prophecy passages) keep an eye on Syria, and remember God said this would happen, over 2 thousand years ago! Even with all our stupidity, God still loves us (salvation passages) and wants to know YOU on a personal level."

    I'll be praying.

" I have had an increasing burden to engage in some down and dirty, street evangelism." March 6, 2010

Isaiah 6:8 I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “ Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?”

Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

    Matthew 22:9 NIV
'So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’

    I'm praying for you daily!

Wow, Acts, that's perfect. I feel I should post it on my facebook as well. Im pretty sure I have been blocked by many of my non-Christian friends already, but a few may still read my verses and other things I post so it's worth a try!
Please pray for my unsaved loved-ones. Time is short.

    Hi!

I feel led to post more about Jesus on FB too! I am praying about sending letters to all in my "inbox" on email as well. Sounds like the Lord is leading us all here to do this.

I use to be timid about doing something like this and fear I would be dropped as a friend-now, I just don't care! It's not about me anymore and my feelings. It's bringing as many to the Kingdom as possible. A few of my "friends" are Christian, probably more aren't or very quiet about it.

I never quite understood why people think Christianity is a "personal" thing and not to be talked about-yep cousin of mine tells me this. Think they are really saved? Lord only knows. But I know we aren't to hide our LIGHT under a bushel, correct? Since I pretty much don't have any friends to really speak of, what do I have to lose? Friends I don't have? Anger family on there too? Oh well-The Lord Jesus gives me strength to endure...

I also felt I was led by God to use Damascus as a prophecy to happen soon on two letters I sent inviting them to know Jesus as their Savior. I sent them on Monday hoping Damascus didn't fall before they received them. I wanted to show them our Bible is true and prophecies have been accurate 100%...I know when I get attacks of unbelief, I turn to that as a "sure word". Just my thoughts.

Praying for you all and Maranatha!s LynnE

Well I did it with all the help from you all !

    Acts thank you Sweetie

    This is what I said:
Would if you could know where this mess in the middle east is going? You can. Bible prophecy is coming to life right now. Keep an eye on Syria. Sooner or later the bible says Damascus will be there at night and gone in the morning. It will be a heap of ruins.
    This is the scripture:
A Prophecy Against Damascus:“See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins. In the evening, sudden terror! Before the morning, they are gone! Isaiah 17:1,14
However there will be a much bigger issue than even this with Israel/Iran conflict. The bible talks about it in detail.
Remember God said this very thing would happen, over 2 thousand years ago! Even with all our faults, God still loves us and wants to know YOU on a personal level.
Seek Jesus and you will find Him. Jesus is the one who died for us. He had to die because our sin was too great. Even the best person is filthy before a Holy God. Jesus took our penalty on Himself. As you accept Jesus as paying the price for you, having Him as savior, you go from death into eternal life.

    Awesome!

I don't get any credit. I just ask God to put His thoughts in my head.

Keep posting as the Lord leads. I have no problem posting the Truth. The ones who get mad are either in a cult or post seedy material(and no one seems to have a problem with that ).

I have family that has defriended me but I am more concerned with pleasing the Lord.
    Romans 16:17-18
    King James Version (KJV)

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Personally I have been using an account on Facebook to message as many people as I can with the following:

Hi, I need to tell you that the Rapture is very near now. Everything that has been happening in the news was prophesied in the Bible 2000+ years ago. There are now major natural disasters like never before, the worst economic crisis in history, wars and unrest like never before etc. Deep down, everyone has this niggling feeling that something mega is going to happen. The world is on the edge of its seat. Too many people feel this for it to be ignored. This is why the secular world is so obsessed with and terrified of the Mayan Dec 21st date (this is false, nothing will happen on this date). As it stands now, the prophecy of Isaiah 1* is about to be fulfilled in Damascus, Syria. Just check the news. This means the Rapture could happen ANY DAY NOW, maybe even today. The only way you can escape what is to come after the Rapture is to accept Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and Saviour. He loves you so much and He died for each and every one of us on the Cross at Calvary. If you truly accept Him into your heart you will be saved. I hope you become my new brother/sister in Christ and I hope to see you soon in Heaven. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16

I have gone through everyone I know personally and also have messaged quite a few random people I don't know (on friends lists etc). So far only one person (out of what seems like a few hundred now) has replied back to me. She told me not to message her again but I could tell from her reaction that she was impacted by it in some way. I'm hoping that she sees the light, or at least one other person does and am praying for all of them. Facebook is a great way to reach people all over the world.

*Unfortunately I made a mistake in this which I have now corrected (obviously should say Isaiah 17:1) Even so though, the general message is there.

i hope you don't mind if i comment on an "old" thread to bump it up again. it is a fantastic way to witness to "fb friends" that we don't know really well but want to be faithful to.

i make comments all the time about being eager for the return of Jesus. i have linked to this site by linking / posting articles as well my theory is to not use facebook as a religious or political platform unless you want people to tune you out by hiding your posts. i know i have hidden friends who seem to be on fb only to push some agenda. i mix them [my updates] all up....some about my kids, some about my activities, some about my faith, some about the glorious hope and longing for my Lord's return.

it is a fantastic forum for getting the message / warning out in a non-confrontational way.

Totally agree! And same here with the mixing up of status updates!
