Default Just as I am, I come!

As we watch the horrors mounting against Israel, the unspeakable savagery in Colorado, and any personal grief we suffer, this lilting hymn can inspire us to keep this world in perspective. At least it does for me. Thank you, King Jesus.

And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. 9 The world’s sin is that it refuses to believe in me.

Thank you, dear iSong. Perhaps I shouldn't be so quick to throw in the towel...great song, though, huh?

    It's gorgeous.

When I came to the Lord, I felt (and was and am) so utterly corrupted and filthy with sin. I was ashamed and the urge was to try to *clean myself up a bit* before attempting to approach God for salvation.

This song went through my head and I thought, okay, "just as I am without one plea, but that Thy blood was shed for me..."

This song is very special to me and this is a beautiful version. Thanks for posting it, my friend.

I can relate, dear heart. I am so very humbled these days. Evil spins its web of corruption everywhere and it's heartbreaking to watch a fragile humanity crumble under it. We are so blessed to belong to Him, and His sacrifice was so perfect as to wash all of us wretches clean. Why the Father gave you and me to Him, I don't know, but maybe He'll give us the scoop once we get to the Kingdom - which I hope is soon, sweet iSong.

I love to read your posts to each other, Carla and iSong. Such love expressed between sisters in Christ, and blessing us all.
Rom. 8:19 For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.
Rom. 8:28 God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

    Default beautiful...

Thanks for posting this.. it is one of my favorites, and I was singing it earlier today. (Not well, but... singing!)
Never heard this version before. The Celtic flavor serves it well.
"Just as I am"....that's how He takes us, and loves us and claims us for HIS own!
HE provides all the necessary cleanup!
We serve an amazing Yahweh...and in HIS sheepfold is the only place to be, while the destruction that is prophesied seems to be approaching. Prayers are offered for the believing, fellow body members who are in the middle of that terrible place. (Am thinking of Damascus, also...along with the souls in Colorado, and of course, Israel. It's all so....demonic, and orchestrated.....)

You sing away, sweet Louise. (BTW, "Louise" is the "L" in my username.) I'm sure the King loves it. And when we have our incorruptable vocal cords, just imagine the music we'll make in the celestial choirs.

This alto is ready to join that choir, Carla Louise! (Great name.)
"The Alleluia Chorus" will be a reality! Can you imagine singing those words, directly to the ONE who inspired them to begin with?
    Maranatha....Louise 👍

Starting today with your posting of "Just As I Am"... Beautiful, comforting and inspiring, just as you are.
