The World Holding On By Staples and Duck Tape

It really can't be much longer, because our God is a holy, just and jealous God and He can't allow this world to continue the course its taking to go on much longer while His faithful church is still here.
There is so much build up right now of everything from the M.E., world economies failing, governments failing, moral decay, increased demonic activity around the world, cosmic disturbances, seasonal changes, celestial changes, confusing in the air, and on and on and on and there seems to be no end in site.
I just don't see us being here much longer, as everything is accelerating very quickly now and I've been spending a lot of time in God's Word, worship time and lots of prayer and I'm really sensing in my spirit that the trumpet is about to sound and the angels are on stand by.
I'm so ready to leave this sin infected world and what it has to offer, it just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I'm sure you all feel the same way.

Come to think of it, that actually makes for an especially interesting metaphor, given that so many try to cover up the severity of world conditions with pretty words--or as in raptureholic's metaphor, hold things together with [pretty] duck tape--and expect (or try to convince others to expect) things to improve when we know they are going to get a lot worse. We have read the end of the book, we know that Bible prophecy is 100% accurate and we know that the staples and tape will eventually give way and probably much sooner than many think.

If we are stuck here much longer, you could manufacture duck tape and make a fortune, Matthew! All children would insist that their parents buy it for all future mouth taping activities. Maybe you could manufacture duck soap, so that when parents wash out their children's mouths before taping them, consistency in parenting techniques would be the rule of the day.

Hi and welcome Matthew-I really appreciate it when someone puts everything together. When you see this list you gave us I have to take a deep breath. Sigh! Really puts it all in perspective.

I wondered if you think we could add, to the list, the wonderful group of churches that may lead more people to hell than to heaven-it's almost as though we don't even have much of a choice for a church to go to these days. Since the "enemy" is in these churches blinding them to the gospel, he's been able to divide Christians from each other, and fooling a lot of the congregations with lies. And with scriptures not being taught they are missing the truth to what will take place. By doing this "he" is able to divide and conquer (sp?). There will come a time soon for some of these so called "Christians" to make a really hard decision during a very hard time. Praying that many actually know him and will join us.

With this list of woes we are in, I can't help but praise God for the truth. If I didn't know Jesus I would be too scared. But then, I imagine, I'd be, well, blind! Blind or in denial of what's really going on. Kinda like "None so blind as those who cannot see" (I realize that's not really Biblical, but this is close: Matthew 13:13)

No, the world has lost it's taste for me. The "salt" will lose it's flavor-Oh yeah, that's us and we'll be gone!

I am surprised DAILY when I wake up that we are still here! The world is evil...as Christians we need to keep FAST in prayer and speak out for the Lord! I just never want to regret that I didn't do more, ya know?

As Red Green has opined, duct ("duck") tape is "the handyman's secret weapon." If you ever get a chance to watch any Red Green, please do. He's the main character in a Canadian program of the same name, and is available on NetFlix. He's a hoot!

And as far as adhesives go, don't forget Velcro. Maybe that's what's behind those mysterious sounds people have been hearing from time to time -- the Earth coming apart at the seams -- the Velcro ripping away . . .

We once had a cat we named Velcro. Stick her to the side of a couch or a chair, and she would put out her claws and just cling there.

My son says that "duck"( sorry, the devil made me do it! ) Anyway, my son says that duct tape can fix anything. I get a mental image of the government trying to hold our economy together with duct tape; the global warming causes being stapled to a bunch of red tape. Our temp is 100 degrees with 86% humidity, which makes for a warm day. the average is around 90 degrees. To me this is just one more thing God is using to bring his plans together. Man can use all the tape and staples they want, God is still in control.
