Thread: Strange issue when editing posts. Compatibility issue with Vista?

    Default Strange issue when editing posts. Compatibility issue with Vista?

    Let me start by saying that this has happened to me more than once on his board. When I try to edit a post I wrote, the text that shows up to be edited has errors in it the the original text didn't have. Whole phrases are repeated twice or missing along with other spelling errors. It only happens on my laptop and not with my desktop. And not every time I edit a post either. I'm running Vista on my laptop and XP on my desktop. Is there an issue with Vista and these boards? This is the only place (message board or otherwise) where this happens.

    I notice that sometimes too. Win 7 with IE9

    The text isnt actually 'repeated' It just looks like it in the Edit box

    I'm using IE9 too. I wonder if it's an IE9 issue rather than a Vista problem since you're using 7 and have had the same problem.

    EDIT: I'm going to turn on compatibility view when I'm on RR and see if that helps.

    May be a browser issue.

    I have to edit a lot of posts and I've never seen the problem as described.

    I'm currently running Firefox.
