    Thanks for the kind welcome, folks! Okay, my testimony. I was raised in a liberal church, and at thirteen rebelled against it and became an atheist (though my parents never caught on). This carried through high school and college, and then in August of 1974 I found myself working as a technical director at a small television station in Louisville. One of my coworkers, an engineer, was a Christian, and began witnessing to me. Long story short, my wife and I got saved within a few months of each other, and have been serving the Lord ever since.

    We have two grown sons (the oldest of which recently served with his family in India for a year and half as missionaries) and two young grandsons. My wife retired from teaching music, and I'm director of business development at a large company that does worldwide medical staffing for the military (earlier this year I was on a company-sponsored trade junket to Saudi Arabia, where I talked with with some of the Saudi army hospitals; very interesting!).

    Finally, I'm a writer, with five novels currently out {Mod Snip} Rule 30 {Mod Snip} I've taught and spoken at various Christian writing conferences, and presently my agent is querying some secular publishing houses {Mod Snip} Rule 30 {Mod Snip}

    I guess that's about it, and I'm glad to be here!

    Busy Guy!

    Sound like your experience with Saudis was interesting. It does seem many in the medical profession know there is a God.

    I pray they go from knowing to relationship with.

    Did you have to hold back, or did you find an openness to the Gospel of Jesus?

    Yeah, Wally, in a briefing right before our departure the State Department gave us a handout of do's and don'ts; witnessing was a definite don't.

    There is a willingness to listen in many places, but you have to learn how to do it.

    I pray for a family of missionaries to Turkey. I believe they will be returning there soon.
