Obama ratchets up "War on America."

President Barack Obama renewed pressure on congressional Republicans to head off budget cuts that are due to begin on March 1, staging a White House appearance with emergency workers to illustrate jobs he said were at risk.

Obama plans similar events in the next 10 days. The administration believes the public will blame job losses on congressional Republicans, senior administration officials told reporters.

Unions are also planning events this week with toddlers in strollers and seniors in wheelchairs to underscore the impact the cuts will have on services.

With Congress off this week, it seems unlikely that a compromise will be reached by the March 1 deadline.

Whenever the Democrats do agree to spending cuts it's always to programs that help the elderly and disabled. Seriously, the Democrats should rename themselves the Hypocrites Party. The Democrats use these poor people then kick them to the curb like garbage once they're no longer useful to whatever cause the Democrats are involved in. It's like Obama going to NJ to get his photo op with Christie and some of the Sandy victims. Photo op done and Obama's gone and hasn't been seen nor heard from since. While the victims are still homeless and living in tents during the winter months. And yet, Obama still has a 50% approval rating and many Americans believe he's the savior (little "s") and defender of the vulnerable and weak like the elderly and very young - even though he's far from it in reality. But with the aid of the lamestream media and the gullibility of many Americans, O and the Democrats get away with this farce of pretending to care about anything other than themselves staying in power and having absolute control over our money and every aspect of our lives from cradle to grave.

I think the thing that amazes me most about the sequester is the inability of a lot of people to remember things that happened not so long ago...like, the fact the the whole sequester idea was originated by Ovama, he promoted it, said he would veto it if it wasn't passed and signed onto it. Now he is going around saying it is the Republicans fault that this is coming to pass...and people just nod their heads muttering about those evil-Rethuglicans hurting Americans. I keep expecting to hear the Twilight Zone music begin to cue up. Unbelievable!

You're absolutely right, Rogar. It isn't just a Democrat problem, it just happens that in this instance it's Obama and his thugs using vulnerable people to further their own agenda. The Republicans are by no means innocent in using people. In fact, I have no respect for either party overall at this point - they're both deplorable and disgusting IMO. There are a few, a very few, of individual government officials that I believe are trying to do what's right by the citizens and upholding the Constitution, but I don't need one hand to count them on.

Unfortunately, instead of good candidates to chose from, we only get to vote on who is less bad. The good candidates (who threaten the status quo) don't even make it through the primaries. Both parties have been infiltrated by socialism and political correctness. They just use different terminology to fit their party platform. What is even more disturbing is that more than 50% of voters in the last election apparently want to be dominated by socialism (assuming we can trust the results of the last election). Of course, even then our choices were either socialism or socialism-lite.
