    There is so much happening in this evil world. The mess in Iraq, Israel being rocketed by Hamas, etc. I heard yesterday that Obama is taking 15 days to vacation at Martha's vineyard in August. I wouldn't be surprised if there is no president in 2016. The ac will be here as the so-called peace person. I many more people get saved before that beautiful trumpet sounds, and God's children goes home.

    I just looked up and said, "be with us Lord Jesus until you take us out of here!"

    I wondered what you were talking about, so I searched and found this article. Thought others might find the article interesting, too, so here is the link:

    Been pondering this same thought for a week now. We seem to be out of the last "rest period" and back into a "contraction."

    Is this the same area herds of animals were walking down the road as if fleeing or has that story been debunked?

    The signs are all around of the soon coming rapture. The Bible makes it clear that he will come at a time when many will not expect him. They will be buying and selling, drinking and giving in marriage, basically , going about their daily lives. So don't look for some major war, or some economic collapse to signal the rapture. After the rapture, now that is a different story. I do think you will see economic collapse and war, and this will usher in the anti christ. The thief in the night could come at any time, so get ready my friends.

    I think that particular one has been debunked.

    As for the Rapture happening absent of a major war/economic collapse, I agree, but I'm also wondering if things we are seeing happening now that "we who watch" look for will become so commonplace (as if they aren't already) that most will be so desensitized to them that they will carry on with their everyday lives (as we do) and not even blink an eye at what's going on in the world -- until the Rapture happens. In other words, people will get up every day, read about the wars, natural disasters, etc. going on and shrug and go on about their lives. We who view world events through the lens of Biblical prophecy, however, will continue to note such things with an eye towards the Rapture, so, while we don't know the exact day or hour, we will not be caught completely unawares when the Rapture does happen, because we will be keeping up with things that are going on.

    I hope that made sense. It sounded good in my head.

    Thoroughly agree Musician. In fact, even I find myself being immune to these terrible news events. They are becoming common place. At times I find them comforting in that with every "pang", the Word is proven true once again. And in my heart, I know all believers are safe in His hands.

    Last night there was a show on The History Channel about the Ark of the Covenant. SO much out of this world conjecture, grabbing at any little myth or thought. But no one would even THINK of believing the Bible, or even referring to it. I feel the same way about End Times. So much is written in the Word and is so clear… especially the signs. Yet, people prefer to look to Nostradamus or Shamans or Fortune Tellers. (Of course, the Bible even predicted they would, right?)

    And like you say, these horrible events will be so common place, the rapture will come upon the world as "a thief in the night". It ALL makes sense.

    That really gives a new definition to "business as usual", doesn't it?

    It's not so much about what is really going on from day to day....it's more about people's blase attitude towards it.

    It made perfect sense, and IMO we are there. Most of the world is doing just as you said.

    And what's even scarier, or hopeful, depending on your point of view, is that any have this same attitude toward the demise of this country. Some are adamant that just cause we are having "problems" (?) today, not to worry as we have ALWAYS come back.

    They fail to see that the moral/spiritual condition of this country is so far south from even 20 years ago, that sans a major intervention from God there is no hope for saving us as a viable society.

    Especially since our illustrious leaders (?) seem determined to turn us into a banana republic!!

    Today at work I was talking with a coworker that things are really heating up in the middle east, that it seems to be a powder keg. Ready to explode any day, I am so sick of this world & how far from God this country has gotten. I just keep looking up at the sky & ask how much longer father until we can come home.
    I have my HOPE in JESUS because HE made a CHANGE in me.

    How about the murder of 298 innocent people simply taking a plane ride. [ Maylasia flight 17}
    And lets not forget the fires out west and the epic Cali drought. We had a tornado warning
    last week here in the Boston area, right around Fenway Park. This is very strange indeed.

    What's really telling is when young people are asked questions during "man on the street interviews" and they are completely clueless about the things going on in this world in general but know all about the latest Hollywood celebrity...Terrifying the degree of willful ignorance these narcissistic youngsters laughingly display. They are a generation primed to be as lemmings who will blindly follow anyone who finally does capture their collective interest and imagination. The stage is all set for the anti-christ.

    It makes me wonder though if the young are like this because many of the older generation is and has been blind to the truth also.... Faith is an individual choice but I can't help but think of how the things of this world (Satan and we all know that this is what Scripture talks about, how things will go....) have taken hold of people's mind's and heart but that it didn't start with young people. I see and know so many older people (my parents, my husband, siblings....) who are blinded and living life without Him.

    I told my mother not long ago that one cannot deny that things are getting worse and that is what God's Word says will happen and that when this is happening the end times are near and that God's prophecies have always come true and this will lead to The Rapture, The Tribulation and His Second return. I can only pray for her, them that God will draw them to Him and save them. At times it is so hard, I am ill as many know, but, I know that my faith rests in The Lord and that He is faithful. But, to see hubby, family reject the love of Christ hurts and sometimes is so frustrating, the feeling like I am hated, being told that I am a hypocrite or that I am pushy and listening to them curse The Lords name.

    I know God is able to save but Satan is doing a good job and the selfishness I see all around me is sickening... so much so at times that I believe/know the Lord's will for my life is perfect, even if being ill is so difficult and the loneliness.... The apostasy that is growing at an alarming rate (at least that is what I believe) and how many are getting caught up in a false Gospel and again a false security in the things of this world!

    It's hard to be hear, but until He takes each of His children home or The Rapture we know that we need to share Christ with a dying world!

    Musician, I love this post! It makes perfect sense and it sounds good in my head too!

    Desensitation =blase attitude!
    Blase attitude=Jesus coming for us as a thief in the night!

    We will always continue to watch because that is what we watchers do. But, the Word tells us that we who believe will know the season. It makes sense that as the season approaches and the signs progress and get closer and closer that after awhile these signs have or will lose their 'shock' value. Our guard will not be as alert anymore, too many false alarms. This is the perfect time when the Rapture could, would or will take us by surprise. Going on our merry way could just mean this event (Rapture) won't happen when we are watching the most, but when we are in a lull of desensitation to all that is going on around us. Meanwhile this could be during a time that the signs could be happening with enormous intensity. Sort of like the Rapture Index losing it's value to us when it gets high. Many of us don't even look at it anymore. We are now just blase about it.
