Stock Market Crash in 2017 and how it may pertain to Prophesy?
There are many news articles saying we are headed for a crash due to the over value of stocks. They say 80% of the US stocks are overvalued. Warren Buffett is holding onto his money which is a big indicator that he may be waiting for a market reset before purchasing more stock. In my industry we are seeing the same signs as before 2008. Mortgage companies are pushing loans for unqualified borrowers and over inflating the prices of the loans to refinance properties. I guess we didn't learn our lesson.
My questions is how this may pertain to prophesy. I have often wondered why the US is not mentioned in the end times. Could an economic collapse be why? Could the rapture push the US over the edge?
My thoughts have always been that the US collapsing would cause a world crisis which would be a great reason for a man to come onto the scene that has all the answers.
My only confusion is in Matthew 24: 38-44 "For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the good man of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh."
Wouldn't the rapture of the church need to happen before the collapse? If it happens after then everyone would be at church looking and it wouldn't be business as usual like Matthew 24 suggests. Or does the demise of the US even matter when it comes to Prophesy?
I would really like some thoughts on this. I have discussions with people all the time and really don't know.
