wouldn't this be awesome to hand out??

    Size - 18" x 8", (Pack of 100) =10.00

How many people can you find on this $100 bill? You might be surprised to know that there are six. See if you can find them. Many years ago there was a popular hit song called "American Pie." It contained the words: "Did you write the Book of Love, do you have faith in God above, do you believe in rock and roll, can music save your mortal soul?" Then it repeated the words: "This could be the day that I die . . . this could be the day that I die . . ."

The fact that each of us are just a heart-beat away from eternity is sobering, but true . . . this could be the day that I die. After all, approximately 150,000 people will die in the next 24 hours. The biblical explanation as to why each of us will die is fascinating. It says we have broken an uncompromising law. Let's see if you have broken this Law (The Ten Commandments): Is God first in your life? Have you made a god to suit yourself? Have you ever used God's holy name in vain? Have you kept the Sabbath holy? Have you always honored your parents implicitly? Have you hated anyone? Then the Bible says you are a murderer. Have you had sex out of marriage? Then you are a fornicator and cannot enter Heaven. Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her in his heart." Have you ever lusted? Have you ever stolen something (irrespective of its value)? Then you are a thief. If you have told just one lie (even if you call it "white"), you are a liar, and cannot enter the Kingdom of God. Listen to your conscience. The Law leaves us all sinners in God's sight. On Judgment Day we will be found guilty, and end up in Hell forever, but because Jesus paid our fine on the Cross 2,000 years ago, God can forgive us. The Bible says, "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Then He rose from the dead, and defeated the power of the grave. If you repent and trust the Savior, God will forgive your sins and grant you everlasting life. Confess your sins to God, put your faith in Jesus Christ, then read the Bible daily and obey what you read. Think of the words on this bill: "IN GOD WE TRUST." He will never let you down. Six people on the bill: Ben Franklin, the Treasurer, the Secretary, two in front of the clock, and of course, God.

I've never used 'em for Halloween as we're too far off the beaten path, but
I have used them for other things and the kiddies do love 'em. Big kids and
    little kids.

Kind of upset that Halloween is on a Wed this year. I always had candy and tracts for the kids who come. But since I am teaching Wed night bible class this year, i won't be able to have that opportunity to pass out such things.

Oct. 31'st is on a Wednesday this year, that means midweek bible study
Otherwise, nope, it's just another day/night. As I recall, last year and the year before I did computer programming those nights, like I do most every night on a monstrosity of a project I'm working on... except for Wednesday nights

Well, I've usually just ignored Halloween and trick-or-treat. But, I've seen some great suggestions and I think this year I'll do the plastic bag idea and put the little Bibles in there, too.

Thanks for the great suggestions! God Bless.

    Default Thoughts on Halloween?

It's coming up quickly. And with it, lots of debate on whether or not to let your kids celebrate in any way. We're going to let our kids trick or treat, but no scary costumes. I think my wife is working on the 6 days of creation as a theme since we've got 6 kids.

It's hard not to let them do something on Halloween. It's one of the most fun times of the year with the costumes and everything. It sort of kicks off the holiday season.

    What do you think?

I love Halloween. It's so close to my birthday and it's also my favorite horror movie.

I really don't see what's wrong with letting your kids dress up and get candy.

It's always been one of my favorites. I own a sewing machine because I bought it to make costumes.

I agree. For the most part that's all it is, dressing up in a costume and getting candy for the kiddies and an excuse for a party and act like kids (or get drunk) for the adults.

For anyone who thinks they or their children shouldn't participate due to a conviction to them from the HS then they shouldn't but not everyone has that conviction. Anyone who doesn't have a problem with it, if they want to dress up and trick or treat that's their choice IMO.

The only real problem I have with the season is my husband likes all the scary movies and I don't.

My kids will not be a part of Halloween.

"An old proverb says, "When you sup with the devil, use a long spoon." Presumably, NO genuine Christian would want to sup with the devil at all and yet many may be doing so in ignorance.

As a former witch high priest now saved by Jesus, I was astonished by how many Christians let their kids celebrate Halloween. Some churches even sponsor "haunted houses" and similar events on what is the Number One satanic "helliday" of the year. Halloween used to be called Samhain, and is still celebrated as an ancient pagan festival of the dead by witches all over the world. Unfortunately, just giving the date a "holy" name like All Hallows' Eve or All Saints' Eve cannot change its grisly character. Halloween is an occasion when the ancient gods (actually demons) are worshiped with human sacrifice. The apostle Paul warns us: "But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils" (1 Cor. 10:20).

If you are a Christian parent, God has given you a precious responsibility in your children. Remember, their ability to resist spiritual wickedness is much less than yours. If you allow your children to participate in Halloween (Trick or Treating, costume parties, etc.) you are allowing them to play on "the devil’s turf," and Satan will definitely press his home court advantage. You are opening up doorways into their young lives for evil by bringing them into a kind of "fellowship" with these ancient "gods."

We are commanded not to become involved with the unfruitful works of darkness (Eph. 5:11). Both from my experience as a witch, and since getting saved, as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I have seen far too many examples of how breaking this command works out in lives. Remember, while we have God's promise of protection for ourselves and our children, that promise may not hold if we allow our children to celebrate this dark holiday. Case after case has come to us of children in rebellion. In many of these families, the problem can be traced back to the children being exposed to Halloween at a young age. It is hard enough to raise children these days in a Godly way without exposing them to Satan's realm.

In his book, Lucifer Dethroned, author William Schnoebelen describes his search for spiritual power that led him on a journey from simple witchcraft to blood-lust vampirism that was only terminated years later by the cleansing blood of Jesus. His book will help you avoid or escape occult involvement and lead others out of similar bondage."

We go to our church that evening. They call it the Family Fun Fest, and the kids can wear a costume. There are bounce houses, games, hayrides, pony rides, and lot's of candy. I really hate the candy, 'cause, well, I just don't like candy; it's bad for you. We never get any trick-or-treaters anyway. But, I certainly don't have a problem with people who choose to go trick-or-treating.

I have no problem with those who like Halloween. I grew up enjoying trick-or-treating and still love the occasional Vincent Price flick, but ultimately I came to the conclusion that the holiday glorifies the very real powers and principalities which we Christians fight against each day. This has left me increasingly less interested in celebrating it each year.

Mine either. That was a good article. You know, I wonder if Christians who dabbled into the occult before they were saved would allow their children to go out on halloween. I know I dabbled ALOT and I KNOW what goes on during that night and I know more about the satanic stuff because I messed with it. This is not just a conviction that I have, it is knowing a truth and staying far far from the evil in it.

Is there anyone out there who was in the occult who allows their children out on halloween?
It doesn't count if you just played with a Oguia board or just did a couple things. I mean Christians who were really sucked in the satanic or occult lifestyle before they were saved.

Let me know those of you out there and whether or not you allow your children out. I am interested in this.

Deut. 4:2 You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take anything from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Deut 12:32 Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.
Check out Leviticus 23... THESE ARE THE FEASTS (HOLIDAYS) GOD HAS APPOINTED. Check out the history of any other holiday and most of the time, it will have some paganistic origin... DO YOU WANT TO HAVE TO ANSWER TO GOD THAT YOU CELEBRATED SOMETHING SO REPULSIVE TO HIM?

Please read ALL of Adam423's reply. IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT TO BE A PART OF? As a believer, you house the Holy Spirit!!!

We will be trick-or-treating and handing out the Pumpkin tract to the people at each house we visit with a "thank you for the candy" and our church's name and address stamped on the back. The devil doesn't own the day..........this is the day that the LORD hath made. We should take the day back for Him.

If it weren't for our Christian brothers and sisters that went ahead of us we wouldn't celebrate Christmas and Easter as Christian holidays today. They were pagan as well as most of the traditions that go with them to this day. But those brave men and women took what satan meant for evil and turned it to good. Halloween is an excellent time to have fun and reach people for Christ.

I don't know where I stand on Halloween. I don't have any little ones yet so it's not a big issue. I do get trick or treaters and I do pass out candy. If I had my own kids, I *think* I would take them to church that night. I do see where it's completely innocent for the kids to dress up like baseball players, Batman, princesses, etc and get free candy -- however......the Bible clearly says we're not to have anything to do with darkness. So I don't know, maybe I shouldn't even pass out candy.?

Edit to add: I like the idea of passing out tracts (with candy of course!)
