Default Major, Upcoming Conference on Bible Prophecy - Dec. 10-12, 2007 - Dallas, TX

(My apologies if this has already been posted.)

16th Annual Pre-Trib Study Group Conference

    December 10-12, 2007

The sixteenth annual conference will be held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Irving, Texas (Dallas/Fort Worth area).

For info re: registering and attending, please see the CONFERENCE BROCHURE:
    http://www.pre-trib.org/pdf/16th-Ann...y-Brochure.pdf

    Also see here:
    http://www.pre-trib.org/conference.php

    CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

Meetings start Monday at 8:30am & conclude Wednesday at noon.

Dr. David Larsen - A Brief History of the Interpretation of the Book of Revelation

Dr. David Hocking - The Rapture in Revelation

Dr. Robert Dean - The Meaning of Angels in Revelation 2 & 3

Dr. Mark Hitchcock vs. Hank Hanegraaff Debate: The Dating of the Book of Revelation [My note: This is a key issue in the false doctrine of Preterism.]

Dr. Gregory Harris - Can Satan Raise the Dead? Can Satan Create Life?
A Biblical View to the Wound of the Beast in Revelation 13

Dr. John Whitcomb - The Two Witnesses: First or Second Half of the Tribulation?

Dr. Robert Congdon - The New Heavens and New Earth

Dr. Ron Bigalke - A Comparison of the Olivet Discourse and the Book of Revelation

    Tim LaHaye Banquet

Dr. Chuck Missler, Dr. Randall Price - Presentations of Current Events - and Dr. Jimmy DeYoung

Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum - The Use of the Old Testament in the Book of Revelation

Dr. Tim LaHaye and Dr. Thomas Ice - Pre-Trib Research Center Update

Dr. John Niemela - Revelation 5 and The Twenty-Four Elders and the Rapture

    SPECIAL DEBATE

This is a crucial issue and you will not want to miss the opportunity to hear this debate. This event could impact one’s entire understanding of the final book of the Bible. [My note: This is a tremendous opportunity for the truth of God's Word to be held up in triumph over the lies of Preterism, and I am really looking forward to this debate.]

    DEBATORS:

Dr. Mark Hitchcock, is pastor of Faith Bible Church in Edmond, Oklahoma, an author and member of The Pre-Trib Study Group who will argue for the traditional late date.

Hank Hanegraaff of the Christian Research Institute and host of the national radio show The Bible Answer Man in Charlotte, North Carolina is our invited guest who will argue for an early date.

Because this is a highly debated issue we have opened up this session to non conference attendees at $10 per person. Register early to guarantee yourself a seat! [See links above.]

Note to the moderators: Sorry that I originally posted this in the wrong forum. I didn't realize that this "Christian Conferences & Gatherings" forum existed.

It seems that posts about conferences are viewed a lot before you move them here. After they're moved here, not as many people see them (?). For that reason, you might want to consider moving just a copy here, leaving the original where originally posted. (Just a suggestion.)

From the brochure, it looks like people can still register but it's $30 higher for the late registration.

The debate is open to anyone, whether or not they are attending the conference.

I heard great things about this pre-trib conference from someone who attended it last year. This looks like another good one. Lots of interesting topics.

Thanks for the clarification about registration. I've edited my post to fix my error.

I've heard mp3 CD recordings of these Pre-Trib Study Group conferences from past years, and they've had a lot of interesting and valuable presentations by some outstanding scholars. As you may know, this is a conference that gets into the meat of the Word.

Honestly, i've been to 2 of these. Unlike the Tulsa conference, these are abit dry. This is only a pre-trib study, and doesn't get into prophecy as the Tulsa conference is designed for.

However, if your in the area..

Todd will be around that sunday night, so if ya'll want to hook up for dinner, there's going to be a few of us meeting up around 6ish. I'll let ya know.

I don't like the idea that tare Hanegraaff will be there

Revelation 22:17a The Spirit and Bride are now saying, "Come!" The ones who hear are now saying, "Come!" The ones who thirst are now saying, "Come!" Come LORD Jesus !

Yeah, I don't wanna hear him either; maybe Mark Hitchcock will debate this so well that Hank won't stay on long.

Does anyone know if this will be videotaped? I know they usually are. If so, how soon do you think it will take them to start selling the videotape? No way can I make it to Dallas.

Some of the speakers at this conference are world-class Bible scholars who are doing invaluable work in digging out and clarifying the eschatological truths of God's Word. What they're doing is so very important.

They aren't always the most scintillating speakers (some are; some aren't), but a number of them are tremendous scholars, brilliant men, and I consider it a huge privilege to be able to hear them.

Sadly, most Bible teaching today is so dumbed-down, it's rare to hear the kind of high-caliber, in-depth teaching that was more common and more expected and accepted in earlier times.

Sadly, I agree. I got so excited to see so many speakers (who I know preach and teach "meat", instead of froth) at one conference. Sometimes "In the Days" has live video feeds of really good conferences that they sponsor. They also have videotapes of conference at http://www.godlyconferences.com/.

Did anyone mention if this conference will be videotaped? I would assume it would be.

I'm guessing that both CDs and DVDs of the conference will become available, as they have in past years.

The website http://www.pre-trib.org has a link to the order form for recordings of last year's conference, but I don't yet see a form for this year's conference.

By the way, this next link is a tremendous source of free, in-depth Bible classes by Dr. Robert Dean, a pastor who is one of the speakers at this year's conference. He's also Chairman of the Governing Board of Chafer Theological Seminary:

He's also co-authored with Dr. Tommy Ice a book on spiritual warfare:

Thanks for all the info. I'll check out these sites. I'm going to try to find that book by Dr. Robert Dean and Dr. Tommy Ice.

Your posts on this thread give me a wealth of info. Thank you so much.

    I will be attending this.

Someone has to keep Todd out of trouble.
