Well look what Augustine via Calvin blew in! LOL

I have had that debate in my library since it was available for purchase. Mark Hitchcock made Hank look like hamburger, mostly because Hank resorted to name calling and Calvinist rhetoric. The selective out of context Scripture quotes by Hank just add to his ludicrous display of unbelief. Anyone who is baptized as a baby and taught in the Calvinist mindset or buys into it, always thinks they are in the IN group, just like the RCC's. Well what do you expect for RCC lites?

Don't panic! Just be Rapture Ready.

    Joel 3:2

I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.

    "RCC lite" - Good one!

I know you must already know this but here's a brief elaboration for anyone else who's interested:

God certainly did use the "great Reformers" (people like Calvin and Luther) to clarify soteriological doctrines (the doctrines of salvation).

By applying a literal hermeneutic (literal interpretation) to Scripture, these Reformers came to realize that salvation is by faith alone in Christ alone, not by works.

That truth alone was an enormous battle for them to fight. They faced bitter opposition from the Roman Catholic Church.

Sadly, yet understandably, the Reformers' time was so focused on fighting the soteriological battles, they never got around to applying a literal hermeneutic to eschatology (the study of Bible prophecy). If they had, they would've discovered that there will be a literal, future, pre-Trib Rapture, 7-year Tribulation period, Millennial reign of Christ, etc.

Instead, the Reformers continued to accept the old amillennial eschatology (which denies the literal future 1000-year reign of Christ) taught by the Roman Catholic Church.

Even more sadly, vast numbers of the Reformers' modern-day heirs continue to cling to the old amillennial Roman Catholic garbage, and look down their noses at those of us who accept the wonderful Biblical truths that God has revealed about the future Rapture and Millennium.

And it also explains why so many in the old line reformed churches are also replacement as to the Church vs. Israel matter.

Do you have a link for that? I would like to get it.

But, I have another book recommend even if they don't agree with all that we claim to believe, the rest is very informative.

—•— Part One: The Spirit of the Antichrist
—•— Part Two: The Many Antichrists—Biblical
—•— Part Three: The Many Antichrists—Historical
—•— Part Four: The Milieu of the Antichrist
—•— Part Five: The False Prophet
—•— Part Six: The Final Antichrist

This is not like so many books which attempt to name a specific person to be named as the Antichrist or to make a case that the ultimate Antichrist can only come from a particular place or background. Scripture teaches us that he will be revealed to the faithful church by Christ, and this work provides the tools and background to accomplish this at the appointed time.

It is highly recommended that this work be read in tandem with The Dilemma of Laodicea, Jacob's book on the seven churches in Revelation which provides a platform of understanding how the spirit of antichrist has been at work during every age of the Church and particularly in this final age characterized by the church at Laodicea.
