I'm inclined toward almost everything that John Wayne made (but definitely not all).
I like the Clint westerns.
I love "Kelly's Heroes."

Open Range is one of my favorites. I especially like Charlie's (Kevin Costner) line, "you may not know this, but there's things that gnaw at a man worse than dying."
Almost everything by Clint but if I had to pick one...Heartbreak Ridge.

In the next 4 years this is the only "change" I'm looking forward to...

Wow! I never thought my first post on this site would be something about my favorite guy movies, but I finally decided to jump in. I've been reading the forum for a few months and I actually signed up 2 months ago (late October) and it's hard to believe it's been that long... anyway, I think Tombstone is a good choice here ("I'm your huckleberry.")
Old one--The Pride of the Yankees--(the story of Lou Gehrig). Brought a tear to my eye when I was around 12!
The Outlaw Josey Wales
Forrest Gump.
Absolutely not "Little Women." Gives me the willies just typing the name.
Hugh Hewitt does a top 10 movie list every Friday on his radio show. One week, it was Christmas movies. They did the list and callers were adding movies they thought should be on the list. One caller, a guy who needs to turn in his "boys," said "Little Women." Hugh and Emmett of the Unblinking Eye said "NO!" simultaneously and hung up on him.
Favorites:
Gladiatior
Braveheart
King Arthur
Tombstone
Motivating:
Miracle
Pursuit of Happyness
(frodo --"Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? "love that movie!)
C. Little reminded me of another favorite.. Gladiator! There's probably a lot more that I just can't think of at the moment but I like MOST history based movies. I really enjoy the biblical movies from the old days, you know the ones in Technicolor like The Greatest Story Ever Told, King of Kings, The Ten Commandments. All epics. Ben-Hur is another one...
My wife and I had the rare chance to see a movie at a theater this weekend (we were able to get a babysitter) and we saw National Treasure 2 and I thought that was pretty good and I liked the first National Treasure, too. I think of National Treasure as a kind of Indiana Jones for American history. (Now that I mention it, I liked Raiders of the Lost Ark, and The Last Crusade)...I could go on and on.. maybe I will as I think of more..
Favorite guy movie.......... The Good The Bad and The Ugly. Clint Eastwood
There... I did it! I posted for the first time in the guys thread!![]()
Although not my all-time favorite I did enjoy Dumb and Dumber. Especially the scene where Jim Carrey puts a laxative in his friends drink and the friend ends up having to use a toilet that doesn't flush.![]()

October Skies
The Lord of The Rings Trilogy...extended version!

The Greatest Game Ever Played
Hunt For Red October
Gladiator
King Arthur
Braveheart
Kingdom Of Heaven
National Treasure (both)
Borne Trilogy (Identity, Supremacy & Ultimatum)
Shrek (original)
Sahara
All Star Wars
All Star Trek Movies (and most TV series too)
Little Princess (hah! Yes that movie brings me to tears)
Last but not least...
Disney's Beauty and The Beast (Animated)
I was going to say Star Wars too, but that seems to be neutral, at least when it first came out even women loved that movie, they all idolized the PrincessThe newer episodes seem to be more oriented towards guys, though.
Beauty and the Beast and the Little Princes are guy movies??![]()
