In the next 4 years this is the only "change" I'm looking forward to...

This is not going to happen. This will never happen. Congress would have to pass this, and there is absolutely no way Congress is every going to give up the dollar and join an international currency. NEVER, EVER, EVER.

Old I found ya somewhere! I think. At least it's someone who uses the same pic.

The Amero is such a horrible name. We should get a new currency but name it something cool and make it pretty.

I agree. "Amero" sounds like a new, tiny, junky car built by GM.

That's too funny Bornsinner. I think creepy cash might also work but as it will all be electonic why not just call it Bits & Bytes?

I wouldnt be too sure of that. How can we explain all of the documented speeches by both US and foreign leaders specfically calling for a New World Order? Seems if the call for NWO proves to be true and not "conspiracy" than some conformity issues will come into play by not adopting a unified currency. Part of the agreements are economical so simplifying currency is a key issue as well as a unified and borderless order and distribution system.

Actually, that weaker dollar is a good sign for exports from the U.S. Things priced in dollars (like Boeing jets) cost less than things priced in euros (like Airbus jets).

Currencies go up and down. We don't have a nasty period of hyperinflation which would make the U.S. dollar worthless. (And if it did, we'd kill our national debt quickly; U.S. Treasury notes are a major mainstay of world currencies, and they are priced in dollars).

I remember when the dollar was four to the Deutschemark, and five to the franc, and then dropped to 2.5 to the DM. Germany didn't take over the world. (And they'd rather have the DM back rather than the Euro.)

And what do they mean when they say "New World Order?"

President George H.W. Bush caught all kinds of flak from the conspiracy crowd for talking about a New World Order. What did he mean by that? He meant, we were at the end of the Cold War, the order which had divided the entire world into two camps, one controlled in Washington, the other in Moscow. With the collapse of the Soviet Union, that order ended, too, and the world moved into a new era.

Of course, how much will it matter when we (referring to converts after the rapture) can't buy or sell goods without a certain beast's mark?

Unfortunately - certain things have to be established - because its going to be real easy and smooth for the anti-christ to take over the world. I think he is enjoying the whole terror attack thing - because that will beef up security. More cameras - more of everything that will help his cause to control the world. That's why it is so important to have your salvation in order - some of us may die before the rapture happens - due to terror attacks - but those that are saved - will return when Christ sets up His Kingdom in Israel.

Well, there are NO plans in Washington to institute a new currency. None. People who suggest otherwise are either misguided or are lying for attention and or money.

What do you mean "if the dollar collapses." It most definitely will and it won't be by chance either. It will be plowed into the ground on purpose forcing the switch to the Amero. It's simply manipulation.

Do you have any thing to prove that statement? If the other side has to prove their points, then so should the opposite view.

This week's Hal Lindsey report has a good section about how the dollar is only backed by the amount of faith the world has in our economy.
