Who feels in ten years things will be the same

Hmmm, well let me just say that the thought has affected my vacation preparations. We plan to take a trip Nov 09, and all I can keep thinking is, what if we are taken up by then? With Iran planning to go nuclear by the end of this year, Saudi, Jordan, and LOTS of others. And people like Tony Blair saying ("There is a new reality. We have to come to terms with it. And it implies, at its fundamentals, peaceful coexistence or catastrophe. If faith becomes a countervailing force, pulling people apart, then it becomes destructive and indeed dangerous.") I don't really know, but I can say I hope not! I'd hate to see how much worse things can get here in ten years! Gotta start spreading the word!!

Still here 10 years from the original post in 2008? I don't even want to think of the possibility. But, .....if we are, I can only pray it will be because we came back in our glorified bodies. I don't even want to be here another week, let alone another 7 years. The mere thought of what our world will be like then is just more than I can stand to think about.

I agree!! If we are still here in 10 years, I will be a nut case. With the way that technology is moving, I doubt any of us that are not of the younger generation will even be able to navigate in the world, our intelligence will be surpassed. Just thinking about being here tomorrow makes me crazy. I feel like an outsider looking in when it comes to this world. PRAYING, you have alot of company!! Many of us are getting very antsy and we can't wait to go home!

With the way that technology is moving, I doubt any of us that are not of the younger generation will even be able to navigate in the world, our intelligence will be surpassed. I know we are supposed to be thankful for each day the Lord blesses us with...and to wittness and all that good stuff...but I truly do not want to be here 10 yrs from now....sigh. I've been watching for 17 years...and honestly, I am weary.

I read this thread from the beginning. In 2008 I was tending to my fiancee as he was in and out of surgeries with brain tumors and as his caregiver I had no clue what was going on in the world from 2006 until 2009 (other than I made sure to vote against BO in 2008).

I think that prophetically things have ramped up HUGE in the last several months.

I do not see that in 10 years our economy would be better, that there would be jobs aplenty. From what I read, the forecast for years is quite bleak.

Thankfully I am self-employed. At 50, even with years of sales and legal experience, I couldn't get a job. My children would be 29 and 24 in 10 years. That is enough to make me plead with God to get us out of here soon. I don't want them to experience the ugliness in this world.

I want to leave but at the same time have some more time so I can have my first child and get my husband saved.. which is priority

But this world is getting worst...and it is a matter of time.. Idk when but I don't want to set any time lines or dates because I do not want to get disappointed by having my hopes up. God will take us when he is ready.
