I'd like to put something new into the conversation here. When we think of Mary, do we think of her daily life? Here she was, chosen by God to bring Jesus into the world and what did she do throughout her day, day after day, for years? Nurse babies, haul water, bake bread, wipe butts and noses, wash laundry...God chose her because He knew she would obey Him. She must have been very trusting and obedient of God - but look at her life. She didn't go out and campaign for Jesus or champion any causes. She didn't fight for rights or stir up the natives, nor did she sit around and stew about things (as far as I can tell from scripture). She obeyed God and did what she should. She raised Jesus and his half-siblings and was a wife to her husband. She led a noble life. For God.
Should we do any less?
