    Default Guitar Hero: On Tour

Has anyone bought Guitar Hero: On Tour? I was thinking about buying it for myself. I bought Guitar Hero 3 for Xbox 360 for $9.99 without the guitar. And after a day or so of playing it I threw it out, because it was crawling with demonic and occult symbols ... not to mention the song "the mark of the beast" where the singer was singing "666" over and over again ... I was utterly shocked. And quite frankly I still am. So I was wondering if On Tour was any better. I don't want to spend $50 and find out it was a waste of money. If I ask about On Tour on Yahoo Answers, or another website they won't tell me exactly what I need to know.

It probably will. The other Guitar Hero games had Devil worship in them also. Bands like Black Sabbath, White Zombie, Iron Maiden, and Bad Religion should be red flags right there.

How about the Guitar Hero game for DS? Does it have any of those nasty metal bands on it? I was thinking about buying that for my son for his birthday (and so I can play it too ), but if the music's Satanic, no way am I buying it.

I know for a fact that there is one song on the DS sung by Black Sabbath. I'm not sure which song though, but any song by them has got to be bad. What about Guitar Hero: Areosmith? Is that one any better? I don't like Areosmith ... I just want to play a guitar hero game for pete's sake!

I do not want to pretend to be an expert but I imagine the DS version probably will. I do not have children myself but here is something you might want to think about. Your kids play the game, then they will like the songs they hear and start to seek out more music from these bands. Even if there are no Satanic songs on there then they will become fans of the bands on Guitar Hero and then find the other songs on their own.

I do not know but just my two cents. I do not know about Aerosmith. They seem like an ok band but never been a fan of theirs.

I'm a gamer but some reason I just can't see the appeal in these Guitar hero games, but that is just me. Anyway, I found a track listing on Guitar Hero on Tour official website:

    http://www.guitarhero.com/ghot/us/#/music/

I don't know if this is the full listing but it should give you some idea I suppose.

I know for fact Iron Maiden are not devil worshippers.
I know aome of those people & they have families & strong morales & values. Most believe in God. Please dont question my faith, My faith is very strong. I just felt the need to say that most of those guys are good people. Bands like Marlin Manson that LIVE the life are evil & twisted souls... back to topic. GH2 & Rocks the 80's are awesome. Im partial to 80's music since im 40. Lots a fun tracks there.

Just because its not "Christian themed" does not make it evil. The ones to worry about are like marlyn Manson etc......... Sick lives, twisted evil messages. Im VERY strong with my faith so please dont question that. I happen to know some of these people & they are very caring family people with many morals and most do trust Jesus..... Back to subject GH 2 is fun. most music is ok. I dont listen to sabbath though. Anyway there is a Christian version coming out I want to play but will have to rent....I lost my job yesterday...... Rock the 80's is awesome, must buy there.

Yeah the symbols are not good..... The downfall of the game. I guess the makers thought it looked "Cool". If ya can overlook it, it reallt is a fun game. Oh and the song "Number of the beast". Its a heavy version of any Christian metal song..... Its not promoting "worship satan: Trust me I have talked with the singer. BTW, He believes Jesus died for us....

I'm sure you are aware about the verse regarding even the demons believe in God. Sorry friend, but there is some rotten fruit here - such as hellish images on album covers, f words on their website, etc. This band is not exactly bring the lost to Jesus as Savior and Lord.

As for Number of the Beast being a heavy version of any christian metal song... "I'll possess your body and I'll make you burn." I don't believe this sets the tone for the kind of lyrics Christ would term family values.

Yes totally aware of that verse. Yes their not model people but FAR from worshipping satan. Like I said I know some of them. and they definantly dont promote satan As for the comments of the song lyrics, its as if satan was talking. NOT THE SINGER. I cant believe some people think this is sometimes the position of a group. Iys obviously not something ANY person would want to do is burn. Now another band I NEVER listened to was "Slayer" Where they actually do promote & openly are demonic. I never will listen to a single note from them

I don't think it's a stretch for any discerning Christian to come to that conclusion given the images of hell, demons, skeletons, the occult, et al on their album covers and the lyrics of some of their music.

I consider the lyrics to "Number of the Beast" to be written as a warning really. From the viewpoint of the lyrics the person obviously knows what he is seeing is wrong and evil, but eventually he is drawn into it.

As for Slayer, Tom Araya is Catholic. Kerry King, the main lyricist for the band, is an atheist who has stated he writes about Satan because it is "more fun than writing about God". Tom apparently has no problem with singing lyrics that are contrary to his own beliefs.

Not defending Slayer here, but I do think most of what they do is done simply for shock value. Even King, the main lyricist, does not believe in the stuff they write about.

Yeah I havent listened to them. Im a guitar, metal fan. but I seen the upside down crosses & never listened. I just like the energy of metal. & for Christian I am still a Whitecross fan. Most old school heavy metal is politically influenced. I do like that

Oh please!! Give me a break. So do demons and Satan himself.

Eph 5:11 Take no part in and have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds and enterprises of darkness, but instead [let your lives be so in contrast as to] expose and reprove and convict them.

I am a 51 year old mom and I am determined to beat my three son's score on Guitar Hero 3. I don't even hear the words, I am too busy watching where to put my fingers.

Man is evil - not games or music etc.
Satan did not make these songs or images, man did but because we percieve them as evil we say Christians should not touch them. As someone once said " these things are a reflection of mankind's imagination of evil'.

IMHO let each make up his own mind and do not stand in judgement of him - as long as his actions do not cause a stumbling block to a brother or sister in Christ.

Satan is far too clever and subtle to worry about games and music etc. when he can deceive millions with false doctrine or a false way to Jesus.

Except he uses games and music to get his tentacles into the hearts and minds and souls of the young.

We are all born sinners - the hearts of the young are wretched whether they are enticed by games or abortion or anything evil. It is only through believing in Jesus that their hearts and minds are guarded.
